Our family pet came with us,and during our meals at the Bistro, the staff at the front desk looked after our dog. It was a fantastic service that I wish more hotels offered. The bistro was a 4 star meal. We had a dinner and breakfast and both were some of the best meals we have ever had in Banff. Liked the ambience of the hotel: the art work, stone, etc. Like a smaller hotel Really great service from staff Very comfortable suite Awesome mountain view Lovely shower and jetted tub In-room Good quality coffee Outdoor hot tub was fun on cold winter night Restaurant serves delicious food.

The location away from the noise of Banff, the simple, yet elegant design of the hotel, good food in bistro, cleanliness and natural landscaping. Bed was comfortable, view from our room was great. Not much. didn't like the poor t.v. reception and lack of options for channels and movies. Small bathroom. Need to upgrade tvs to laptops can be plugged in. Air conditioner not cooling property. Bistro didn't open on time for breakfast our first day, so we were forced to find breakfast somewhere else. we can barely get any wifi from the room, maybe because it's too far away from the main building. When I booked online it said that we would get mountain view, which we were as it's on a mountain but it's a bit misleading as the good view is of the valley and is called the panorama view. The hotel used to have a service to shuttle into Banff. They have stopped that service but this is minor compaired to the total pleasure of staying at the hotel. noise from the highway which is nearby - my room was on the side facing the highway. hot tub needs mosquito repellent in area. No Elevators. Old TV sets. Very expensive rooms need some updating Duvet covers, carpet and decorative pillows were dirty Payed $260 per night, I expected a clean room. The location is well out of town, on the wrong side of the highway. The price is also quite expensive for what it is. We ate in the restaurant 4 years ago and the menu was very good. This time it was very disappointing and the service was not good. I didn't appreciate finding a strip of unused condoms on the floor in the main room and a towel in the bathroom with something on it. I was also disappointed that I couldn't rent a movie through the TV. Oh and we had a room change because the fan in our first room wouldn't shut off. The fan in the second room was off but that was because it didn't work! Pretty disappointed this stay. Not sure if I'll return. the climate control system didn't work. We slept in a room that we couldn't cool properly, and it was over 26 degrees. The memories were tarnished by unkept plant beds including 12 inch thistles sticking out all over the juniper beds. Staff wasn't overly friendly and the place is nowhere near the level it was 5 yrs ago. Needs tlc. In all honesty we won't stay here again. We booked a queen room, but they tried to give us a double, then upcharged us when we noted the discrepancy. The room was a bit dirty as well. Rooms very hot. A/c not working. Beds small for 2 people. Too far from town.
