all reviews » From the minute we stepped inside Dewaterzooi we loved it. We were met with a welcome drink and sat down at the table with the owners who told us what Ghent had to offer. Our room was lovely, looking out over the old castle walls and onto the bustling square below. Our suite had a large flat screen TV and very comfy armchairs and a sofa, an honesty bar and tea and coffee facilities. The bedroom and bathroom were superb. All rooms had a music system operated by controls on the wall. They owne. I have no words to describe our stay at De Waterzooi... It was just perfect! I wish we could have stayed more! Location: Perfect, right across from the Gavensteen Castle, steps from the wonderful points of interest. The hosts were so friendly and ready to help us. The breakfast is wonderful! There's always some homemade treat! The rooms are so clean and smell sooo good! The bed is super comfortable! What else can I say? De Waterzooi is everything I would ever want from a B&B and much more!. Kay & Christian are amazing hosts! All of the positive reviews set my expectations high, and they were all met without exception! Room are very clean and very well appointed. Breakfast is fresh and included an 'extra special something' every morning (freshly made apple crumble, chocolate mousse, fresh french toast, etc.), and served at a time convenient to you. With their extensive knowledge of the area, Kay & Christian made our weekend getaway stress-free!. Spacious & beautiful. Wonderful location, very comfortable space with modern conveniences. Great private outdoor space. We loved everything about this B&B. To top it off, the hosts are the nicest people. We loved hearing about how they renovated the space. This is the only place to stay in Gent. Everything from reception until the terrace in each suite is absolutely wonderful! Spacious rooms, fantastic beds, clean bathrooms and details, details, details. The only thing we didn't like was that we were so stupid to stay for one night only. The room, Suite, was amazing and the service outstanding. The owners and B&B keepers treated like very special guests. The B&B is ideally situated to visit Gent and lost but not least the Breakfast is 5star!. Liked everything on our trip! Kay and Christian the owners were perfect hosts and cannot do enough for you.Central location overlooking the castle and faultless accomodation.We will visit again. Can't think of anything. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing - it was perfect. Nothing!. Mosquitoes!!!. Check out of 11am is too early. Should be at 12 or 13, as most people come to relax and not rush. That we did not stay longer.
