Kind staff, eager to please. The room had just been redecorated; all new and fresh. No extra charge for parking underneath the hotel. Breakfast was very good. It was very friendly and the location was brilliant, great for public transport and taxis. The secure parking is a must and everyting was great. All employees of the hotel were very friendly, and eager to please us. The breakfast-buffet was excellent. Free parking was OK.

We booked a double room but on the first night had to make do with twin beds pushed together. The staff managed to sort that the following day but as we booked so far in advance I was disappointed an appropriate room had not been reserved for us.We had problems with our key cards not working. Also, the hotel restaurant is quite expensive and we were a little challenged finding suitable restaurants for kids near the hotel. There was an opened candy bag in the minibar. Parking costs.The hotel must provide a smoking-area, or a kiosk outside the hotel for the smokers to be protected from the cold and rain while they smoke. Waiting 20 minutes for a "guaranteed" table for breakfast. The breakfast service did not keep pace with demand - plates, bread and english breakfast tea. Having to collect our own luggage from the storage area rather than having it collected and brought to us. Lack of concern shown by one staff member when something metal fell off a shelf in the baggage area and hit my wife in the foot.Bathroom could do with some updating. Bathroom - smelt of male urine. Toilet flush was broken. Not enough hot water for a bath at 7:00. Water pressure very low in shower. No magnifying mirror. Bedroom (Room 625) - dark on arrival. No main light switch, so I had to walk into a dark room and try to find the bedside lamp switches in the dark. Curtains were dirty and did not close fully. No water provided in room. No minibar. I was obliged to buy water from bar. Bar staff did not understand English or French. I did not feel welcome. .
