This is not the first time I go to Orts and it is always a pleasure to return due to very friendly and corteous staff who always try their best to accomodate your requests, the extremely convenient location, the confort of the rooms, the very fast internent connection at no charge, the very good breakfast that offers a good selection of savoury ans sweet items together with classic breakfast stuff. When the price is right there are very few hotels like this in Brussels.
all reviews » The owner, Peter and all the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Upon arrival, Peter gave us a book detailing all the amazing buildings on the Grand Place as well as good info regarding places worth seeing. Also the location was fantastic - close to everything - no need for a tour, you could walk all of the Old Town on your own. Lovely old hotel 100m from the Metro. We can DEFINITELY recommend it. We were upgraded to a superior, and it was lovely. Large room, comfy bed and good sized bath with a tub. Cozy bar. All the staff friendly. Highlight for us was the Valentine's Dinner which was superb. Able to watch the chef prepare our 5 course meal in the open kitchen was a treat. A nice treat for us was having the gentle giant of a dog show his presence much to our delight. We would return to this hotel. The hotel is a small with lots of charm. The rooms are comfortable and you have excellent WI-Fi in your room. The staff are very attentive and the bar in the lobby serves excellent food at all times of the day. Also it is in close walking distance to shops and restaurants near Grand Place. I would gladly spend time there on future trips. Loved everything! The staff were friendly and welcoming. The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. There is a nice breakfast buffet that is included in your room rate. There are some great restaurants nearby that are reasonably priced. The location was great for visiting the old town with many restaurants nearby. Alicia was extremely helpful. Parking is a few blocks away but all luggage was in our room by the time we returned. The room was quite basic but had a comfortable bed. Great location, very central to everything to all the restaurants, bars of St Cetherine and Grand Place is literally a few minutes away. Friendly breakfast. If I have to split the hair into 4, then the room I was had a slightly smaller than usual bathorrom,actually it is only narrow; the wash hand basin is small but functional. As I said no big deal especially for a single traveller. The Friday night disco across the road was a bit noisy. Wifi iffy at times. Nothing! It was perfect!. The rooms are small, and the hotel and décor need to be upgraded and remodeled. It is an older hotel. Old furniture and small room. Was a bit pricey but I guess for the location, fair. Room was a little bit smaller than I expected. The location (being so central and on the main road) mean it got a little bit noisy on a Friday & Saturday nite (we were on the 2nd floor) but not too bad. Nothing. A few grungy bars close by that are noisy but the noise doesn't filter through to the rooms. Not a big deal but no coffee/tea making facilities in room. I was unhappy with the comfort of the bed itself. Much too hard for my liking. The day staff while very friendly was often too busy to assist you and the evening staff was not accommodating at all. Noisy mini bar fridge in room. Can get loud in the streets below at night, especially on weekends. The rooms are very small, but nicely decorated (apart from the broken toilet seat!). The bed was a bit soft / lumpy and could be replaced. I still had a very good nights sleep. The first floor may be noisy as the is a nice restaurant and pub at ground level. Second floor was fine though. The fact that we arrived quite late and were told that food was available until 22:00. Only to find that at 21.40 we were told that the kitchen had closed. So we had wander out to find something to eat. A little hard to find reception as entrance is via the pub downstairs. Rooms a tad smaller than expected, but still very nice and tidy. It was a bit noisy at times (from outside). n.n. Leaving. A person who claimed to be the owner opened the door to our hotel room rather late one evening, saying that he "wanted to check that everything was OK" - quite strange and rather unpleasant. There was a lot of street noise, but nothing the room's air conditioning couldn't drown out. A little noisy from the bar/restaurant. Breakfast was expensive and not really good value. breakfast starting a bit late (7:30). Nothing really.
