What people say
The location is brilliant. Wien State Opera was the reason we came to
Wien and the hotel is just 100 meters from the Opera house. Besides, the
Hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Museam Quarter, fine restaurants and
walking streets. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is
good and the view from the balcony is so beautiful that you even
don't notice the noise from the street when the windows are open.
When we are back to Wien we will be glad to stay at this hotel again. all reviews »
A simple no frills hotel, very large comfortable room, with equally large bathroom, all room facilities very adequate including tea and coffee, lots of cupboard space, very clean, and quiet room inside courtyard. Very worthwhile for the price.
We arrived at 9.00 am into Wiem our intention was to drop our baggage and tour the city until check in time. We were surprised to find that we could not only drop our baggage but the room was ready.
I have joined two local tours. The hotel is few minutes walk from the State Opera, which is the gathering point of many local tours. In fact most the major attraction are within walking distance.
Location is directly opposite the Staatsoper in the heart of the city.
Super sized rooms with a fantastic bathroom and the buffet breakfast had
good variety and all the food seemed quite fresh.
Excellent location, staff at reception! Very spacy, extremely clean and fresh room! Very good value for money, especially for those who wants to stay close to all attractions, shops etc.
quiet room
wardrobe space
beds and douvets
location (possibly the nearest hotel to Staatsoper!)
breakfast (good bread, scrambled eggs, cereals)
their (?) restaurant Martinjak next door.
Location was great, it was walking distance to the major sites in the city and public transport easy to negotiate for sites further out. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The location is wonderful, just 2 min to the underground and State Opera. The staff is very helpful and polite. Also, the rooms are clean and spacious.
Service, perfect location, nice and large room - I will stay here again and can absolutely recommend this hotel!.
large well appointed rooms. located within easy walking distance of any attraction. Highly recommend.
Receptionist was a star, the hotel is perfectly situated for the city centre, the room was large and clean.
Excellent staff and service!!! Highly recommend. Great location.
location, staff were very friendly and helpful
rooms were big.
Very good hotel, excellent location and good breakfast.
Excellent location and very friendly and nice staff.
Location, big room , nice stuff, good breakfast.
Spacious room, nice bathroom, friendly staff.
The staff, the room, the location is superb.
Excellent lokation. Very friendly personnel.
The breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.
Nice location,just opposite the Opera.
Nice people. good location.
Perfect location, friendly staff.
clean and things worked.
Very friendly staff.
central position, near opera and that's all.
There is no conditioning in the rooms and I guess in summer it can be a
little discomforting, because you are to open windows and the noise from
the streets will be your neighbour.
The entry way and lobby could be upgraded to make it more warm and welcoming, perhaps plants and newer more comfortable furniture and carpet. Very friendly staff made up for the spartan lobby surroundings of the reception.
None.
Room was quite big but as such needed more furnishings as it felt quite
cold and empty. Rooms on the 3rd floor open onto the breakfast area
which can get a little noisy in the mornings.
As our window was facing Opernring it was noisy all night around, non stop. This was the only inconvinience.
wifi didn't work well
their PC on the 3rd floor was slow
no bananas with cereals.
There was a bit of a musty smell to the room I stayed in. I was not used to having to hand in the key to my room to reception every time I left the building.
Coffee at breakfast was terrible, but that didn't spoil the rest:).
spotty WiFi coverage.
construction scaffold on the front of the building.
Rooms were large but quite dated.
-free breakfast poor variety, same for the 6 days we stayed
-Wifi was limited with a lot of cold spots, was only available at dining room and reception area. in our room on/off by the door.
No gym, no lobby.
A few weeks ago I would have missed aircondition.
lack of A/C.
The sound proof was not good, someone talked beside our room and woke us all up..
no air conditioning in rooms.
Dirty carpets in rooms, very basic breakfast, noissy rooms, one small elevator... not corresponding with my expectaions of 4 star hotel.
rather dingy external appearance
no fresh fruit at all at breakfast, otherwise good.
Uncomfortable beds
No opportunity for late check out
No room service
No air condition.
it is not a hotel, it does not even have a lobby, it is a building with apartments rented...
everything except position.
