No hot water. (water was only luke warm). Fridge wasn't working, and even after it was 'fixed' it still wasn't cold. Only 1 English TV channel, with non-interesting programs on. No movies etc. Not suitable for disabled people. For a 4 star rating, it was not up to the mark in decor and cleanliness.The politness of the reception employees. Very indiferrent. All of them. the ammenities are deffinetly not the ones of a 4*, furniture is very old, not worth the money. rooms offered for us were rather for a student hostel than a hotel charging 150€ per night. The toi-toi style bathrooms are really disgusting. old furniture, no refrigerator, bad food in the restaurant, in conclusion this hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars. Very basic hotel for the price. The descriptions oversell, and the staff are dreadful. Breakfast was chaos, with lots of dirty tables, and inadequate supplies on the buffet table. inferior Breakfast and Room ....etc etc. For the money it was poor all round. I know it was Christmas but 140 Euros for an old room with poor furniture, smelly bathroom, poor breakfast and not particularly friendly staff was pricey. I travel quite a lot and may have been spoilt in the past but this was probably the worst I have stayed in. Crown plaza in Salzburg was not great for the money but streets ahead of the Sailer. It was not 4 star standard-especially a supposedly superior room. Decor was very dated , the bathroom very small and old fashioned- no soap bars, no body cream, towels were very thin and worn. In the room there was no mini bar or dressing table. There was a sauna but no facilities to change so made it difficult to use. The hotel staff were not particularly helpful or friendly.

Travelling information

A 12 motorway ("Vignette" toll ticket required!) from the east and west, a toll road crosses the Arlberg tunnel. A 13 motorway from the south; toll road starting from Innsbruck. Federal road number 182 to the Brenner pass. Excellent road network to and from Innsbruck. To East Tirol via the Felbertauern tunnel or via the Pustertal valley (Italy).
