Very polite staff; excellent breakfast buffet; clean room; nice bar; quiet room (although it headed towards the street); I hope they keep the rural style of the rooms even after the planned renovation; alas I arrived pretty late and left soon so I couldn't check the recreational facilities. all reviews » central, asking for way back to hotel is easy because it is by the main train station. Decoration of the room is very good (wood on all walls and even ceiling). Free Internet. absolutely no noise in the room (room at the back on 5th floor). The hotel was under renovation and we were offered an upgraded room to compensate. The renovations are extremely attractive. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Extremely personable staff. Good location. Very elegant hotel. Close to the centre and in front of the railway station. The price is a little bit high in comparison with other good hotels in Innsbruck and the view is not so perfect but that is not a problem. the shower was not clean!. The sauna and fitness centre were out of action , no one told us before booking . There is construction work going on on the same side as the room we got , it started just after 7 am .No one informed that they are currently renovating the hotel. They should compensate for the noice. I booked this hotel with you for mr de glanville mr Wright and Mr Shelley and was embarrased!. i dont know if the room we had was that bad because we had a special rate, Bathroom interior was at least from the 1980's, the only chair in the room was falling apart when u tried to lift it, broken tiles on the walls, door frames eaten up by humidity, but similar damage could be seen in the hallway, the bed was too short for me (6"4'), the mattress felt like you would sleep on plain boxsprings..I have stayed many times, it does not warrant 5 stars, the rooms are tired and old fashioned, i stayed in my usual room and the wall paper was in the same state. It is such a pity that the rooms have not been up dated. It is not worthy of 5 star status - yes the staff make it 5 star. but you pay for 5 star and the rooms are probably 3 star. renovations noisy, rooms are not adequate for business. firewalls need to be turned off for wifi. although they moved us to a suite the noise was still bad. renovations started at 7:30 am or earlier and did not stop until 7pm. the staff were very nice and the hotel needs the change as the rooms are very tired. I would say don't stay until the entire renovations have been completed.The rooms , small , hot , old fasion. exercise room, ski room, rude attitude at breakfast.

Travelling information

New Highway exit from east and west on the A12:

- Take exit Innsbruck Mitte, and exit in the roundabout direction Innsbruck Zentrum (you see the football stadium then on your left).
- Keep straight till the next roundabout and take the 3rd exit where the ice stadium will be on your left.
- Keep straight over the bridge and keep right.
- After the bridge, immediately turn right and keep straight, a BP petrol station will be on your right, keep going straight and you will arrive at the train station.
- The Hotel Europa Tyrol is the last house on the left hand side, yellow.

To enter the car park:
- After the BP petrol station keep straight and at the second set of lights keep right and turn immediately after the traffic light into the parking on your right hand side underneath the very modern black building.
- In the garage follow the yellow signs to the hotel and enter the hotel through the Europa Tunnel.
