The staff welcoming us at 9am said our room was ready and we could park and go straight up. This was the best news as the International Fleet Review was our reason for staying. We could get on with enjoying the spectacle immediately, getting to the Harbour with just a short stroll to get a prime position. Nothing was too much for the staff at all. The room service dinner was just what we needed so we could see the fireworks from the picture windows overlooking Lavender Bay that night.
all reviews » Excellent hotel, great "L" shaped apartment (we took better one), big balcony, nice view from 8th floor. Clean, spacious, we were wery happy with our stay. Affordable parking. We will come back, excellent location, train station across hotel, bridge 2 min of walk. I recommend!. Train station 2 minute walk. Stroll to Kirribilli restaurant strip. Don't eat breaky in hotel when you can stroll down to Ripples café on waterfront under the bridge and look at Opera House. This café has great coffee and cooked breaky is only $16. All facilities were excellent. Staff attended to requests quickly. Appreciated being able to have some documents printed out by staff for a presentation. This time I had a room with a view which was lovely. This is my 2nd stay. Fantastic location, 50m from the train station and a short walk to some great cafes & restaurants. Its a 20 minute walk over the lovely harbour bridge to Kings Cross and Circular Quay. Room had a harbour view and was spacious. Pleasant feel to the room. Staff were accommodating allowing me to check in early - they may have even given me a free room upgrade to do it. - Easy check in process - Cheap accommodation (we were lucky to be able to take advantage of a deal offered by letsbookhotel.com) - good location, opposite station and close to city. On our last visit to the Vibe we were unexpectedly upgraded to an Executive Suite. The views were magnificent and it made our stay very special. Nice looking modern hotel. It's right outside a train station, easy access to the city just one or two stops. Good sized rooms and a nice view. The very friendly and helpful staff behind the front desk and especially in the restaurant, they were cheerful and happy made it a great stay. The location suited our needs as friends party was close to the Ferry link to Fort Denison other than that would not have stayed at The Vibe. Very clean, very friendly. Very modern and funky! Optional breakfast was A$28 offered for A$24 (?) - A$96 for two people and two mornings - too much! I would pay A$15, though, so their loss. Nothing in particular. Breakfast was ordinary, even at the special rate paid when I got there. - Unfortunately the night we stayed there, the smoke alarm went off at 2.30am. Everyone had to evacuate the hotel. Given it was the middle of the night, but I found it interesting the lack of visible staff to guide the process. And, the fire trucks took about 15mins to arrive - lucky it turned out to be a false alarm! But that was no fault of the hotel. - the lighting in the rooms is very poor, no overhead lighting, only 2 lamps. Nothing. I couldn't get the air conditioning to the right temperature to be perfect. It was either too warm or too cool. For an executive suite the bathroom was a little small. A little expensive. We would have stayed 2 nights, however the price being asked for the Saturday night was too ridiculous to consider. Toast and coffee for 12$ is a bit high,. we didnt have bath towles twice face cloths as i was shareing a room .the bar area felt very cold to sit and socialize and l felt cold in my room. A little noise doors banging ect. Limited parking underground. If anything getting there we got lost couldn't find the hotel even with the tom Tom . Travelled from the country so not familiar with the city. Lack lustre staff who really didn't care about customer service delivery - check in took 30mins check out even longer - not my choice of quality customer service delivery - thank goodness our room had a view. Nothing bad to report at all. Basic $12 breakfast a bit rich - cereal/toast and juice or tea/ coffee not good value; should at least be able to have cereal as well as toast and a hot or cold drink. The noise of the running water from other bathrooms was the only thing that spoilt my stay. Room Service very slow. In the States most hotels have a stocked pantry in the foyer where guests can purchase food or drink beverages leaving your fridge in the room empty so you can stock your own items. The pool area was alittle sad - pictures on the internet are not realistic. It seems that there could be more than 30 min per 24 hours to use the free wifi. The desk staff did their job adequately but in hospitality they give you the first impression of an establishment and I have stayed at the Vibe before and been offered tourist information and a friendly welcome. Not so this trip. Some fittings were coming apart. Nothing. Fire alarm fault. The man on the desk when I arrived and when we checked out - not very relaxed and competent. There was no bacony but aother then that, everything was great! :-). The parking was minimal and no reservations can be made. The alternative is not appropriate for someone with luggage or an injury disability and it is very hard to follow. I have a pre existing injury that struggled with the steepness of the road and had a hard time carrying all of my props for filming the next day. I could not find way out of Luna park. Very firm beds and lumpy pillows, did not sleep well. Nothing everything was great. The rooms were set at too cool a temperature which is NOT Eco Friendly. N/a. Parking hard to find near hotel and hotel parking is pricey. My room was too close to the lift so a bit noisy. we would like to make this hotel our regular location, but we feel the nightly cost is too high, in particular when we stay in Sydney for 4+ nights. The aircon made funny noises at times.
