Very central. Good size rooms. Position/location. Great position. Its incredibly clean and comfortable and very easy to get to and fro Sydney City Centre on the train. This is the second time I have stayed here and have been impressed on both occasions. good location, the shopping centre just cross the street, train just on the corner, 20mins to city down town. we can find lots different cuisine around. Clean Central Shopping Plenty of cafés Good transport. staff were very pleasant near a train near shops. Location and room layout. Pool was 'closed for refurbishment until further notice' despite its availability being included in the welcome letter and booking description. Housekeeping a bit hit and miss, e.g. Two towels left after four taken. No oven tray or grill pan in oven, despite requesting this on first night. Attempted to add a 1.5% surcharge for credit card transaction, so I paid by Eftpos, and it was going to take 5 days to return my money to my credit card. The fee is a rip off for something that costs 0.15c, but to then say the money had already been debited & would take 5 days to return is unbelievable. This left a sour taste at the end of a pleasant stay. The room had a terrible smell. Old spilt milk that they tried to cover with carpet cleaner each day. 1 - We booked at the sebel specifically because of the pool for our kids. To get there and learn the pool was not operational was a major dissapointment. 2 - To have to pay for parking was also a bit of a let down. 3 - The 2nd bedroom was not setup as we had requested (I.E. 2 singles) and it took over an hour to get it addressed. The staff member was very nice and apologetic though. No outdoor setting on balcony and the blind in the master bedroom had a panel missing. On check out we forgot to return one of the keys (it has a fob on it) and was instantly charged $50 before even being informed of the situation. I found this to be rude and highly impatient - the spa wasn't working the entire duration of my stay but I didn't charge the Sebel any money (you get my point!). the receiption didn't tell me how much cost for the safa bed when i checked in, and it cost me $45/day, when i paid the bell, and no excuse. Not advised in advance that Swimming pool not available No wifi anywhere in the Sebel Charged for using credit card. pool was closed and not indicated on web site...we specifically took bathes for kids. room is 'tired', needs re fit. When I booked on line I booked an apartment to accommodate 4 people . I was not happy that I had to pay extra $45 to have a sofa bed to accommodate the 3 rd person . And had to be interrupted while it had to be made up !!. Air conditioning did not work and was never fixed despite two complaints. Did not get the one bedroom apartment that I had booked 2 weeks earlier. we were given a tired old 2 bedroom that had just been placed with them for rentals. Very poorly furnished with the original appliances from when it was built . Not worth the money. We asked to be moved but nothing was available. We checked out the next morning although we had booked 3 nights. any chance of getting our money back because we were not given what we had booked?.
