I travel to Chatswood twice a year for a specialist appointment and I often stay at Mantra Chatswood apartment hotel. We find it a great hotel, very clean well appointed and an excellent location for shopping, restaurants etc.and the staff are very friendly and obliging. My husband and I look forward to our next stay. Liane Kennedy. We upgraded to a suite. very spacious, good views for area, clean and comfortable. Staff handled everything efficiently, and in friendly manner. Excellent proximity to train station, shops and restaurants... not much you could not find in a 10 min walk.
all reviews » love the range of pillows on the bed. i love flat pillows and most motels have big plump pillows. also liked the micrwave. awesome location handy to bus and train and access to north sydney and into city. Location was great, clean and comfortable. Got upgraded to an apartment. Great service as well, would stay again close to transport, easy train ride to the city. I stayed in a studio room with my young son, I was surprised there was a bath tub, it was fantastic! The room was amazing, I could have lived in that room :). large rooms with excellent mini bar choices, lovely lemon myrtle bath products, two tvs balcony,proximity to great restaurants and shopping,. I have stayed at the hotel several times now and will continue to do so every time I visit Sydney,as always it gets 10 out 10 from me. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We mentioned the toilet was leakin and they sent someone to fix it straight away. Great pool, very friendly helpful staff, and excellent location next to train station, spacious apartment. I liked everything especially how clean the Mantra was, location was great, everything was just right. Free in house movie plus comolimentary wine was a very pleasant suprise secure parking. as always first class.my favourite place to stay in Sydney,and I will keep coming back. It possibly would've been good to have a washing machine in the studio apartment. having to pay for wireless broadband. I have just travelled in Cambodia and got free WiFi in all the 3 star hotels I stayed in. The Mantra charged for this service. Breakfast was expensive and disappointing. "Hot" food was cold and the seating was in need of update/replacement. In need of a handy man bath to high didn't fell safe getting in and out. lamp which hung too low in lounge room, kept hitting our heads!. Cost plus having to pay for parking. The hotel is comfy enough but could now do with a bit of a spruce up. you should not have to pay for wifi access. Noise from adjoining building site. The sofa bed was unusable, pulled the poor excuse for bedding onto the floor to get some comfort to no avail, the main bed was also of poor standard!. TV program selection was not intuitive and there were not many good option of movies to watch aside from the paid movies. no fittings in the bathroom, nowhere to put anything. bathroom flooded from shower nowhere to put make-up in bedroom poor lighting. The rooms are showing their age and could do with an upgrade. Didn't like the fact you shower in the bath and there was no curtain so water went over the floor, which was dangerous when getting out of the bath. Had 2 lights out which i needed to tell maintenance about 2 days into my stay. The shower rose needed to be fixed with a new washer..made having a straight forward shower frustrating!. Poor shower. Pool stated heated but was freezing. Bed was not great, bathrooms are outdated. Waited 25minutes after check in time for a room to be found for us. Shower hot tap fell off on first day and after four requests to have it fixed we left very disgruntled. Holding more money than the cost of the rooms. I authorized Mantra to the amount of $962 but they Hold $1258 which is not acceptable. Parking and wifi add-ons are expensive and unexpected compared with other areas of the World. The hotel rooms are very tired. We were not particularly impressed with the quality of the accommodation.
