Location, right on the highway and less than 5 minutes from Maitland, close to most other Hunter Valley attractions and various dining options ranging from fast food and takeaways through to pubs and clubs, restaurants and cafes all nearby, rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed, Free internet was a definite bonus. On site parking is plentiful and semi enclosed with vision from the street well obscured by a row of thick hedges which also helped mitigate noise from the highway. Overall .
all reviews » The rooms (stayed twice) were clean, comfortable and good value for money. A decent continental breakfast in the dining room saw a good start to my final day of travel home. Finally a big thank you to all the staff for their help when I nearly missed the train and making my trip to Maitland most enjoyable. I recommend this motel to all. Another 10 out of 10 to the Maitland City Motel. Room was very clean, staff extremely helpful & friendly. Made an enquiry prior to arrival re microwave advised only in some rooms but would put one in for me & it was there when I arrived. Location was ideal for our purpose. Would definitely stay there if up that way again. Clean, comfortable, plenty of space, well appointed, friendly staff ...breakfast to the room available if required, swimming pool, next door to a Club with dining facilities (noise was not an issue whilst we were there) The cost was very reasonable. We enjoyed the friendliness of all involved with the motel and would recommend staying there. It was clean, quiet, close to the club and to shopping. We ate so glad we found it online. Clean & comfortable, parking right outside the door. Staff very friendly, newspaper and breakfast delivered to the door at a bargain price. Would definitely stay there again. The location of the motel, as we were unable to source accomodation in the Hunter Valley as we were attending a concert at Bimbadgen Winery. Helpful staff. For second night we were moved to a larger much quieter room. First night was hell. Very noisy lorries on main highway just outside motel so no sleep. Not much, some noise from the highway at night if one particularly loud truck was going past, tea/coffee making area was slightly cramped, but neither of these are major issues that would sop me from returning in future. N/a. Nothing really. Needs better blinds. The club car park lights illuminated the room. No milk in the fridge for tea and coffee and office closed when we needed the milk. There seemed to be an odour around, maybe a sewer in the vincinity of the motel, a constant smell especially in the up stairs apartment we were staying in.... Nothing. Traffic noise - but not alot you can do about that being on the New England Hwy!. nothing. did not have any issues with staying there at all. N/A. Lights from the carparks on either side of the room lit up the room even though the curtains were drawn. I kept waking up thinking it was morning. no real issues. Located just off a busy road. Long delays for hot water in bathroom during showers. Few interesting restaurants available for dinner in Maitland. Nothing, all good. the bed could do with some work. Shower Was A Bit Weak On Pressure. nothing. bit noisy next door and tell us there was a breakfast service didnt know till day we were leaving. traffic noise parking spaces not really suitable for the larger car toilet paper the iron. Nothing. Location. There was a bit of noise from the busy main road as expected, but wasn't a major concern. They need to get new bed's in room 43, especially the Queen bed, wasn't real comfortable at all. it was rather dated with big bulky timber don't like the idea of bedspreads most places now use another sheet over the top of the blankets i find this much more hygenic. No phone manner at all. I was to arrive very late at night and it seemed to be a problem, very rude people.
