It was very handy for were we needed to be close too. But wish had more time to of had a look around the hotel abite more. but found it very clean and comfortable. will recommend to anyone. hope to come back again one day. thank you cheers Deb & Rob. If We neeDed anything.. staff Were only just a phone call away. Loved How polite all the staff as well as the room service were. Enjoyed our stay. Will be staying again in the future.

I liked the location,close to Fremantle and the fact that there was great beer garden, however their choices of beer could be better. It was nice and quiet in the evening so a good sleep could be had. Cooking facilities were quiet good for type of accommodation. Lovely restaraunt area to enjoy a meal on a warm evening. Great waitstaff. Comfy bed and pillows. The mattress was really comfy. The bar has a great view and the staff was super friendly. The Staff were very helpful. The area was handy to water and shopping. Clean towels. The carpark up stairs was a little hard to get out of. Not much room for turning out. Cost of breakfast additional to a substantial room charge of $250 was ridiculous and several others i spoke to at the Hotel agreed so we bought our own supplies at the local shops. It's a bit of a rabbit warren until you get used to the layout of the hotel. The sliding door lock difficult to lock had a lot of trouble, need to be look at, did report this on checking out. Also I left my mobile charger connected in the wall have asked for cleaners to check haven't heard from them? Robert. Nothing. Rooms need a facelift but no dramas. The room had an odour of stale cigarettes. A little pricey at almost $250.00 / night. Basic room for this price, no extras!. The outside of the hotel looks a bit old & drab. The shower had mold on the ceiling. Reception staff didnt notify me or my partner that my relative had paid for our buffet breakfast as a suprise. Only found out when I spoke to the relative & then went to ask reception. They said no & then called our room to say that it was paid for. So if I didnt speak to my relative I wouldnt of known. allocated room was very inferior -dull overlooking car park however on contacting reception was allocated a nicer room which was more in keeping with the tarriff. When booked and couldn't arrive you did not refund. The bathroom and mainly the shower recess could be a bit more cleaner and there were cigaret burns in some of the furniture. The shower was quiet compact even though there was plenty of room to have a wider shower. Budget accommodation and a little higher priced. Not being able to open a window so had to keep turning the aircon on and off throughout the night. Bathrooms need a facelift. Clean but bit rundown. That the bar shut so early. It is quite dear for what it is. From the profile on the internet this hotel did not meet our expectations. Being accomplished travellers this hotel does not in our opinion merit 4 stars. It needs a refurb and its disabled is adequate at best. Swimming pool very small indeed. Location was poor, beside a busy main road, 10 min bus ride to Freemantle. River views were limited. Noisy neighbours having a late night party. Due to the one way streets etc it was a little difficult to access if coming from certain directions and we ended up having to go all around the houses to get to the secure car park entrance. A bit pricey but it was a last minute booking and choices were limited. a bit costly for one night in which we didn't spend a lot of time at the room. Expensive for a dated hotel Everything is very basic. we were moved due to airconditioning not working, we were moved to smaller room next to laundry so no sleep in as staff were outside our room early every morning, akirconditioning was also not up to standard in this room. We had previously stayed at this hotel with direct bookig to hotel an ended up with a fantastic room an view for half the rate, not sure what happened to this booking but will think seriously before booking again. No ability to open a window for fresh air, worst nights sleep ever, plain hot You do not need to consider "Gay friendly" We are friendly to all we meet whether they are homosexual or not. They would accept our entertainment card. My car was broken into in the rear carpark after I requested secure parking but was informed that "we dont have any trouble here" and agreed to leave the car at the rear. Next day the reception staff informed me that there is a shortage of keys to access the secure parking. Not 4 star (more like 3), price went down after I booked so don't bother booking early, expensive for what you get, customer service very average. Tired rooms, noisy location, not value for money in the area. Over excessive in price for this standard. Buffet breakfast was disgusting. and outside walkways very noisey Its priced as a 5 star but fits into 3 star motel catergory. It was very shabby and run down. Really I need of some tlc and Some design ideas, needs to Have some thought and care Lavished on it. Both the bath and tiles in the bathrom were in very poor state. Broken bath (cracked and dirty) tiles had mould and mildew, it looked very bad for a hotel like the Trade Winds. Also room service food was of avery low quality (we would call it pub food)cbreakfast arrived cold, very dissappointing. Dont mind paying a good price for a hotel but it needs to be value for money, there were too many items needing attention. Room was old/outdated and not worth the price charges. There was mold/mildew around the tub. Staff not very helpful. No morning coffee or other amenities. Restaurant breakfast was expensive and of moderate quality. The room, only window faced the walkway to the car park and the wall behind it. Everyone going to the car park almost literally walked past our bed. That room should be a storage and not a room. There was splattered marks on walls in foyer and the lifts had dirty marks everywhere .the fridge smelt musky..the mini bar was overpriced.the breakfast was cold and dry..the coffee was un drinkable.AND Mold in the shower..not impressed waste of $300...will never stay again ... Old, need facelift. Wifi charge dated facilities poor value for money cleanliness. Small second bedroom with no window or air conditioner. Booking through Booking .com was not told it was not paid for at time of booking even though credit card details were given. Very over-priced for very average old rooms. No value at all. The rooms It certainly does not warrant four star .I have travelled the world and stayed in many hotels . This would equal a second grade motel .Lack of service.. some staff in no hurry to help to be fair one or two were the exception Rooms were not cleaned. Room very unclean- dirt marks on bathroom walls, fgans dusty/filthy, food scraps still on kitchen bench, mould on barthroom tile, general run down, paying top dollar for rooms at substandard cleanliness. I take own cleaning gear to clean and usually don't need to worry about cleaning in most hotels - not on the weekend at Tradewinds. Not impressed!!!!!! Mentioned to manager on duty, his attitude was non chalant, not interested in improving hotel appearance.
