  Staff was very friendly, enough parking for rented cars very close to your room. You don't really need a car because there is a little shuttle bus, but it's easier to get to your room, and also in general to explore Rhodes...   The staff were very helpful and so friendly. The rooms were clean. Compared to other hotels down in town Hillside is also a much more quite location to stay. Hillside is located about 12-16min walk from town. I am not writing this as a negative as our group was more then happy to save the money we did and just walk.   The rooms were nice and sitting on the balcony was great, the sea is just a few steps in front. The beach is sandy (it gets really hot). You can hardly find any hotel closer to the sea, I think. The staff was friendly and gave good advice. Some bars (full of young British tourists) are just a 2min walk away.   I stayed at the St. Amon Hotel for two weeks in August and it was a wonderful experience for me. This family-owned hotel is set in a quite location not far from the bustling nightlife of Faliraki.
