  We enjoyed Chania and the hotel very much. We live in Crete (East) but have not been to Chania before and we found the old port to be very beautiful. We were staying overnight before flying from Chania airport for the 1st time and we did not realise the tow - Located a block from the harbor and right in the heart of Old Town Chania, Palazzo Duca is perfect! It is a fancy place--beautiful, clean, and polished. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was a palace! Very comfortable king size bed, sitting area with table and chairs, patio with view of harbor with table and chairs, a kitchenette in the room stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking pans plus refrigerator. The bathroom was lovely with a heavenly large shower.

  The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a quick chat with them everyday. The rooms used to be cleaned every day. It was extremely important for us - people with little children. The location of the hotel is also perfect, close to the city center but far away from the noise. Walk into Chania takes about half an hour, and beach only five minutes away. The location offers quick and easy acess to the major roads if you want to explore the Island by car. I would definitely recommend staying here!
