The location is ideal as the guesthouse is near the railway station by a few minutes walk. The room is big and well-equipped with kitchen, bathroom and sauna room. We satisfied with this guesthouse and would highly recommend to all travellers who would like to stay in Rovaniemi. Nice location, very close to the railway station and within a walking time from the city centre. The rooms are nice and cosy. Breakfast is rather simple but good and there is also a shared kitchen for all the guests. Nice staff. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
所有评语 » The location is excellent, very near the train station, within 10mins walk even with heavy luggage in snow. Room is tidy and clean. Well equipped kitchen with supermarket nearby. Free Wifi available in the room too! With all of these, the price is very reasonable. You are literally only a few minutes' walk from train and coach stations. The local bus also stops nearby. A short walk away are several supermarkets if you want to use the kitchen. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean. Very great staff that arranging us to stay in ground floor when she noticed that we had 3 23kg luggage. they also allowed us to store the luggage until 2100 as we were waiting for the overnight train to Helsinki. Being a budget guesthouse, Borealis was a pleasant surprise. The room was private with own bathroom, the bed was queen size and comfy and breakfast was included in the room price. Friendliness of the owner, she knows a lot about local area. Preety cheap, very close to the train and bus station, shops nearby, kitchean avaiable, pretty good speed of wifi. Staff really informative, good english, simpatic, we could leave our bags before check in, free wi-fi, good food, free access to kitchen and really good service. Minor points: The town centre is about 15 minutes' walk away but within that distance you'll find nearly everything you may need. Sadly, the sauna was out of order and due to be fixed in the future. Not only the reception but also the guest kitchen is locked up at 9 pm (so get your beer out of the fridge before that). The kitchen was closed early (at 2100), and we were not able to have hot water at night. The ventilation above the bed was a bit loud. My room has not been cleaned and bin emptied during my 4 day stay! Theoretically it should be done every second day. rather limited choice for breakfast- but OK, this is a guest house, not $$$ hotel.watery coffee- again- a hallmark for Finland, not this place fault!. Can't think of anything. Quite basic equipment in the room but okay for one night. It takes around 15min by walk to downtown but it's acceptable. - Nothing. Some far from city center. it's killing me to climb up the snow-covered hill from VR station to the guesthouse... No sauna unless you order an apartment. a little bit cold. Left luggage is just left in the corridor, easily accessed from the street. Better to pay 2 euros and leave it in a locker at the nearby train station. I was surprised there was no TV in room. No elevator in the hotel. But not a big problem since there are in total 2 floors. Bathrooms were small and beds could be more comfortable. Rhe rooms are too small. All that is necessary in addition – I think the boss of hotel already knows. Stairs no lift. take 15 mins walk to down town. The room didn't clean everyday, the room door not easy to lock. Though the breakfast was included, no hot meals can not give me a good beginning of a day. 15min walk to city centre, simple breakfast, old style room.
