  I found the staff to be approachable and helpful. The ocean view room was terrific - great view of Copacabana Beach. Plus, we allowed a late check out because our flight home left in the evening. (Request a high floor for best views). There is even a view of the mountains from the bathroom! Windows open so you can hear the ocean all night long... Very clean, quiet, double sinks in bathroom - marble and hardwood floors. Staff is excellent, friendly and almost all speak English.

  I was upgraded to an ocean view room. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a magnificent view - as had the gym and the breakfast terrace. Breakfast was excellent, as would be expected for a hotel of its level. The gym was very well equipped. Location is excellent - right across from the beach.   We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

We had mentioned on the 'special request' of the booking form that the reason of the trip was for a special birthday.   We were upgraded on arrival to a sea view room which was absolutely fabulous. The room was ultra comfortable and the bathroom very large. The hotel had the luxurious feel you would expect from this standard with nice furniture and carpets in public areas.
