Nikki and Steve were amazing hosts --- they made us feel right at home! The location is perfect, right in the middle of Harpenden and close to anything you could possibly want. We even walked from the train station. The rooms were newly decorated, the beds and showers were amazing, having the pub downstairs was great for local flavor and relaxing, and the breakfast was fantastic. Immediate attention by friendly staff on arrival, We were part of a Christmas party booking staying overnight. Although busy our meals were all served together and the food was hot and extremely well presented. Our room was wonderful with everything we needed. My husband especially enjoyed the full english breakfast to next morning. Will definitely return and hopefully stay for longer to enjoy the town.
Everything! Lovely family-run inn set in a beautiful little town - by far the nicest surroundings to other places I considered staying. The family was SO friendly & accommodating - they wouldn't hear of me taking a taxi to the airport at 4:00 a.m. - they drove me! Bedroom was luxurious & immaculate. Just a pleasure to stay there! All stars.
We had a large party booked into various venues in Harpenden, the management and staff here were extremely welcoming on arrival and unbelievably helpful, particularly to one of our Norwegian delegates who had forgotten to book, they found him another venue and actually drove him there.
Staff welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully refurbished, spotless and comfortable. Lots of choice in the coffee, tea and biscuit box and good to have bottles of mineral water too. Excellent breakfast and extra drinks willingly supplied.
Our bedroom was very tastefully decorated with a grey/silver/black theme. Lovely modern bathroom . Everything was very clean. The full English breakfast was served to us very promptly by friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I booked the wrong day in error and they were very discreet about it and found me the last room without any fuss. Staff were very pleasant and a nice mix of formal and friendly. Breakfast was fab.
The rooms were very nice - tastefully furnished, very comfortable,clean and spacious enough. Easy location for London, St. Albans and motorways etc.

The small bed and claustrophobic feel of room. Kettle had to be boiled on floor. Loud music from bar heard in room all Saturday evening with accompanying vibration. There was no internet available during our stay. Despite reserving a space (as mentioned on site) there really is no on site parking. It was awkward/unpleasant having to queue at busy bar to check in.
