Huge size, lovely bathrooms which makes for a great stay!   The location was fairly good, not far from Nakameguro station and right by a great tree-lined canal that parallels the main road if the days are hot.   When we stayed here there was some renovation going on at the hotel, complete with scaffolding. By the time we left, they had finished and were removing the scaffolding. Despite that, it was a great place to stay. The rooms were small by Western standards, but I found them quite comfortable and clean. It is located about 15 minutes walk from Asakusa subway station or Kuramae station. Tourist attractions are within easy reach via subway or walking distance. Sky Tree tower is only about 15 minutes walk, Sumo Museum is 10 minutes' walk away. You can prepare your meal in the room, which has an electric kettle, microwave oven, stove. It was our second stay at the hotel and we're gonna always be satisfied. The room rate was very good.

  The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Also everyone at the front desk spoke English, which for us was a great bonus.   Having stayed at the Family Inn Saiko for almost a week I have to say that the whole experience has been a truly pleasant one! In fact, I would go even so far as saying that it was one of the most pleasant experiences in a few years worth of travelling. The room was VERY clean and comfortable and it was a great Japanese cultural experience. It was conveniently located close to 3 subway stops, including the Ikebukuro station. I definitely enjoyed my stay here and if I am ever in Tokyo again, I will be staying here again! I have already recommended the Family Inn Saiko to friends!

  Fantastic location a short walk from Nishi-Shinjuku-gochōme station. The hotel itself is clean, the room was quite large and the facilities (internet, washing machine, microwave, kettle, cutlery, crockery, proper knife for cutting things) were excellent. As others have mentioned, the breakfast is quite simple - b - The room and bathroom was a reasonable size compared with other Tokyo hotels where there is pretty much just enough room for a bed. We thought the breakfast was quite good. Start your day with a healthy salad, boiled eggs, toast and a main dish that changed daily. Staff were super friendly. They greet you every single time you walk into the hotel. We made good use of the washing machine, dryer and microwave inside the room.
