  This family-run hotel was very sweet. The people were curtious and very helpful and kind. The breakfast always included fresh, local fruit. I am gluten intolerant and they went out of their way to find me a substitue for bread. And the home-cooked meals at the restaurant next door were supurb. Grikos is a great town, quiet location.   Without a doubt, it's the best hotel in Patmos. We had a long weekend there and enjoyed every moment of our stay. We were pampered without any pressure from the moment we entered, till the last minute we left. Perfect choice for couples, as well as families.   I had read that Nicolas is an awesome guy, but this was something else. He picked us up from the port, he took us to rent a car, every single day he was making us coffee (along with his lovely wife), giving us fruit directly from his garden, cake and many more. When we had to give the car back, he brought us back to the hotel with his car and then drove us to Chora to see the Monastery. He als - The hotel is located in a beautiful and serene location near the town of Scala on Patmos. The mountains and sea are visible from the hotel. The owner, Nicolas, and his wife, are consumate hosts. We arrived by ferry during the middle of the night and Nicolas was there to meet us and take us to the hotel.   We got a very good offer for this hotel, which was almost too good to be true for our island hopping purposes. The location is perfect, just around the rocks at the end of the harbourfront of Skála. Peaceful, great view from the front terrace, and yet very close to everything.
