The location of the hostel was pretty good, close to Green Lake. They could organise most things easily and the staff were very helpful. The food was good (just watch out some items, esp pizza, can take quite a while!). The bar area is great, as is the extra quiet area upstairs.

The staff were consistently helpful and friendly; I arrived very early in the morning but they allowed me to change to a different kind of room so I could check in early, and to have breakfast at the impressive buffet. We booked standard room with breakfast at the hotel. But on arrival got also complimentary coupons for lunches and dinners daily, and instead of standard room - wonderful suite. Daily we had new fruit basket in room. It is always possible to find at least one person at the reception, who speaks English (English in Kunming is not common). Personal is friendly and cooperative.
