Hotel Pension Museum can be a wonderful base for an individual, a couple or a family in central Vienna with Metro, museums, theatres, cafes, shops, and architecture just steps away. The hotel is a classic beauty with enormous rooms and very comfortable beds and good quality linens. Bathrooms are all modernized. One can hear others in the hallways briefly coming and going but the rooms are other wise quiet. Breakfast is in a lovely room, an extended continental morning meal with boiled eggs as . alle vurderinger »
In an expensive city such as Vienna, the hotel Pension Museum is a terrific find. We had obtained a room rate of 99 E. The hotel is well located - a block away from the U-3 subway which is the connector to the airport train...and also a block away from the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Leopold Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art. The Hofberg Palace and its treasures are another 2 blocks away. The old town is an easy stroll away too. There are good restaurants nearby as well as shoppin.
location is very conbienience for if you love visit museums.
all the sightseeing place are near by foot.
U-Bahn(Subway)station also 1minitus to go CAT(city Air Terminal)

The location was absolutely perfect and close to everything. The view
was beautiful. Our room was so big and yet made us feel right at home
in Vienna. The hosts were very helpful with everything and were
extremely kind and welcoming. Breakfast and the coffee machine were
excellent! We were both very pleased with our stay here! Next time we
are back in Vienna, we will be staying there again! We highly reccomend
this beautiful place to anyone wishing to have an amazing accommodation
in Vienna!.
Clean and comfortable. Spacious and newly renovated rooms with a
stunning view over the roofs of Vienna. Location is perfect if you want
to visit Vienna, you’re right in the center and can reach most
attractions by foot. Public transport is within a 30m walk. The
hotel/pension is in fact located in the upper floors of a (office)
building which may surprise in the beginning but doesn’t affect the
overall comfort (lift available). I would definitively return if back
in the area.
Location and staff: both are excellent. Really. No overstatements, just merely the fact. getting to almost all significant museums, shopping-street, u-bahn, bus-stop of hop-on/hop-off bus, grocery store takes from 3 to 10 minutes walking. room really big, staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast is quite normal (not excellent, but ok), amenities are good (standard set), I was allowed to smoke on room's balcony, the district is safe and not noisy. it's worth its price.
From the moment I walked in it just felt like home. When was the last time the owner of a hotel took the time to personally welcome you to the hotel and the area? He made great recommendations on where to eat and where to go. The bedroom was huge! High ceilings and full of light. Breakfasts were great! And interesting guest(s) to interact with and eat breakfast. Great time. Recommend it.
The rooms are very spacious; the bathroom was very, very nice; we had a wonderful view of the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Naturhistorisches Museum; the breakfast included was also very good; it was incredibly romantic for our honeymoon; the staff was also very helpful and nice; I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Pension Hotel Musuem, when we return to Vienna, we will stay again!.
1. Fantastic location - near the Hofburg, the museums and the tube.
2. The helpfulness of the staff and the cleanliness / upkeep of the rooms.
3. Nice breakfast
4. Reasonably priced
We would stay there again without any hesitation.
Very, very helpful staff. The owner helped me book a hotel in the next city and gave constant tips on where to go - he went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Excellent value for money and dream location.
The bathroom was very well-designed in grey stone and transparent glass divider. Huge room, comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi, thick curtains. Breakfast room very nice - proper table cloths, light music. The building itself.
Location, Location, Location. It was an easy walk to several Museums and even the St. Stephens Cathedral area. The subway is around the corner and the hotel is only 20-25 minutes from the airport in Vienna.
Excellent location right next to Volkstheater and Museums Quarter. U3
metro station in 1 minute walk. Could be used for leaisure or business.
Rooms are large. Quiet, recently renovated, decently maintained.
Well located at walking distance from city center and right next to metro station.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice rooms, fully renovated bathroom, very clean.
Excellent buffet breakfast.
The breakfast was lovely, the room was large, and there was a baby crib waiting for us on arrival. The bathroom was updated, and the location near the Museums was very convenient.
location, location, location. 13 foot ceilings, spacious room wish fishbone parquet, nicely remodeled bathroom; elevator after inital 12 step stairs; friendly service; free wifi.
The room was very nice -- nice bathroom, excellent shower and bathtub. I loved the breakfasts. Food very good and attractively displayed. Service from all was excellent.
All in all very nice, bathrooms recently redone, hotel perfectly
located, very pleasant and service-oriented personnel, good breakfast.
Would definitely come back.
Hotel with a beautiful grandeur and a humorous twist. I immediately
felt very welcomed. Lots of fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet.
Great coffee.
Very kind and helpfull staff. The owner is very welcoming and give advices and guidances to visit the city. Room are spacious and well furbished.
Room was nicely appointed with new stylish bathroom. Location is excellent, so close to everything! Breakfast was very good every day!.
Very comfortable room, good choice for breakfast. Very close to museum area (5 mins), and city centre (10mins by Ubahn).
Location was great and the staff quite helpful. The recent renovations brought the hotel up to date but kept the charm.

Location was excellent, room was big. Grocery right around corner. Major city sites nearby. Great breakfast.
Small with attention to details.

The hotel is perfectly located for a city trip.

The room was really large.
The staff were wonderful. Location could not have been better. The hotel had wonderful charm!.
Management and staff helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. Bit of old world atmosphere. Quiet.
I liked the location very much. Perfect place for exploring the museum quarter.
Great location near all the museums and easy to get to from the airport.
Its a very agreeable Hotel with big rooms and friendly staff.
The staff was very friendly, and the location is quite good.
Large rooms / nice Continental breakfast and super location.

Location
Friendly staff.
service+price+location.
Hotel is located in very good place for visiting old part of Vienna and Museum Quartier.
Nice breakfast.
I liked the old fashion style.
Like the hotel room as the building is old the rooms are large.
Nice house, nice bathroom.
size,location.
The only thing that I liked was the location.
Travelers should be forewarned that you must walk up a dozen steps to the elevator. After that there are no more required steps as the elevator can take you up and down to rooms, reception, etc. I'm sure if help was needed they would have staff available to assist on request.
My only complaint would be the overpowering scent of air freshener in the elevator which had me taking the stairs instead! I suppose it is better for one's health.
Internet connection could be better. No restaurant but staff can advice
nice ones of good quality nearby.
there is no air-conditioning in our room, furniture in our room was a bit of outdated and it caused some troubles: I'm allergic and could not stand "dust of ages". basically, I've began to sneeze almost right away after we've entered the room. but my son was good and he had no such problems.
1. While we were there, the temperature in Vienna was between 35 and 40 degrees, and did not fall during the night. So air-conditioning would have been great.
2. Some mornings we heard pop music around 4.30 am until 5.30 from outside. We couldn't work out where it came from. Maybe a nearby cinema or an after party from Sans Souci, a cafe / casino nearby.
Nothing.
There was only very expensive parking available for our rental car.
Overpaid when booked on letsbookhotel.com (the hotel charges eur 119 for
single use of a double room, while I paid eur 150). This could have
been nobody's fault, simply misunderstanding, who knows for what
reason, that there was 1 person, not 2 when I booked, but
unfortunately no discount/correction was made at the time of
payment upon check-out. Guess, once you agree to pay a certain amount,
the deal is over and done.
It wasn't altogether stroller/handicap friendly with the staircase.
postage size flat screen tv about 15 feet from bed;.
Nothing - I would certainly stay there again.
Inequality of interior between the rooms. We had reserved 1 double room
and 1 single room. The double room was perfect, big, very nicely
decorated. On the opposite, the single room was very basically equipped.
I had to ring the doorbell several times before I got an answer, nearly
to the point of giving up and looking for a phone number. Spooky
staircase.
Nothing.
No complaints!.
Quirky sign at entrance saying reception was on 1st floor (when in reality was on 2nd floor) and ring door for attention (reception or breakfast access!) Ok when got used to it!.
Entrance was like an abandoned building. Should be better when the latest reno is complete.
flat tv screen is very small. I think 17-19. You can watch it from bed.
Looks old and dosent feel like you are entering in to a hotel but a old museum :-).
Not a hotel. Entrance was not welcoming. No reception desk. letsbookhotel.com should better designate between hotels and pensiones. Bathroom very small, outlets poorly placed.
Ten steps to the lift might create an access problem for some people.
We asked for three single beds but had one single and one double.
The light in the bathroom was too poor.
A minibar would have been great.
Bed too hard.
The Elevator was out for almost all of my stay (4 days). I'm not saying I don't need exercise, but after a long day on my feet, four flights of stairs was awful.
The entrance from the street is poor, but the staff said, it is ordered to renew it.
Wifi coverage was quite poor, the room had no AC.
The hotel is an "ordinary" building so the entrance is some kind of awkward and the lift is a "brave" experience. The rooms are large and high and the lack of carpet on the floor gives them an uncosy feeling. The bed was too soft and being for one person I was about to fall off several times. The TV too little for the dimensions of the room. No minibar.
The protuding springs of the matress.
the fragance used on the carpet.
small creaky lift or a lot stairs.
2 complaints: bed mattress too hard; windows of room #23 opened up to an extremely loud (possibly) air conditioning unit across the street. Too warm to close windows so very difficult to sleep. Ceiling fans might be a good idea.
The tea set and a kettle would be nice to have in the room.
It is time to refresh the walls and some furnitures.
nails hanging on the walls, the hard beds.
The lift is very unfriendly, really fearful. There is an unvisible staff, they are interested only in payment. They had given us an absolutely false way-intruction to a pretty known place in Vienna.
The bed was horrible including pillows
I did not give us any comfort feeling
It was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed.
