  We had an excellent time at Yacinthos. We were treated like a family from the very start, and got a big hug at goodbye. The staff was very helpful, providing everything we asked for. The owner is a lovely lady, who prepares excellent breakfast, and making sure you're happy at all times. We had a deluxe studio. The location nearby the perfect beach is excellent, as for me it takes a lot of time to rich the centre of the city. But if you rent a car it wouldn't be a problem .   The location of the hotel is perfect, just in front of the beach and short walk from the old town, I was very relieved not to have chosen a more central location: it would have been much hotter and the beach would have been quite far. THE beach (it's only a massive one, many kilometers long, that goes from Rethymno port all the way) is cleaner and not crowded around Athina. So it's perfect if you want a calm, nice, pleasant spot by the beach.
