We particularly loved the food which was delicious for breakfast and dinnerthe three nights we stayed, everything freshly prepared with homemade jams, bread etc. and vegetables and herbs from the gardens. Our room was very comfortable with the facility to make coffee and watch the mountains, so relaxing! It is perfect place to walk, eat and relax. Zaros just a two minute drive away if you need supermarket or bank.

We stayed at the Happy Cretan for three nights and the only bad thing I have to say is that we didn't have more time there. The hotel setting was absolutely gorgeous! The rooms were fresh and clean along with being eco-friendly. There is a small shop on the ground where you can get some groceries - The facilities, the service, the friendliness of the owner, the atmosphere, the location, all are exceptional. The owner maintains a small store with basic supplies on the compound, which is very convenient considering that the ~30 people settlement is a long way from places with shops and does not offer any reasonable supply. The place is definitely worth driving the narrow road up to it.

The hotel was in an amazing location set in a cove, the exterior of the hotel blended into the natural cove scene which was great.
The staff were great very attentive and the pool/ beach was not crowded just right. -

Sitia Bay is an apartment hotel which has good quality fixtures and fittings, and focuses on maintaining a clean and friendly environment for guests. The rooms were cleaned properly every day and clean line supplied. The kitchen actually had pots pans and crockery (which many apartments boasting kitchens do not have). The manager was not push and intrusive but did offer great advice on where to go and what to see when we requested information. We were sad to leave!!
