First of all Aspros Potamos is a really wonderful place to stay. We stayed there for 8 days and really enjoyed the peace and quit in the valley of Aspros Potamos. The beach and the village of Makry Gialos are about a 15 minute walk via a small road through olivetrees and small vegetable gardens.
The Atmosphere at Aspros Potamos is very peaceful and quiet, we toned down our voices when we were there, just out of respect for the place.
The facilities are good, normal shower (very tiny stream), . alle beoordelingen »
We stayed for 8 days at Aspros Potamos and we loved it!
Really where we were looking for, something different, in nature, with a lot of silence and calmness. Birds singing all day long, the sound of the river and reading a book. On the other hand there a plenty things to do, walking to the beach, restaurants and shops in 15 minutes or walking the Pefki gorge.
There are like 5 or 6 cats around and they're all very cute and social, we fell in love with them. In the evening just silence and oillam.
We loved the fact we were living in the heart of the pefki gorge the
views were amazing and you could still see the libyan sea which was only
a 1200metre walk away simply amazing eco freindly cave like accomadation
with wi-fi neil &penny england harpenden.
The beautiful location. Spacious, comfortable and clean room with furniture in ethnic style. The hotel has a tranquil, relaxing holiday.
View of the gorge was awesome! Staff was nice and provided optional breakfast.
The beds are really small, our 2 person bed was 110 cm wide (which is small, in other rooms they are a bit wider, so it gets cosy). Pillows where flat and soft.
But the bad bedding seems to be a Greek thing, hard matresses are all over Greece, people from the northern parts of Europe are spoiled with very soft and comfortable beds.
What you need to know is that the beds are also traditional, quite hard and small. Our double bed was only 1.10 m wide, too small for two people, so if you want to sleep well, it's better to book a room/house with more beds.
And with some improvements the place could get better then it already is, like; new pillows (!) (maybe even new matrasses). And a hammock and some sunbeds would make a real relaxing place of it.
I would of love a memory foam mattress.
Bed was stiff and the road to get to the hotel was a little too dangerous for my wife's taste.
