Het stadje Kalabaka ligt op slechts 3,5 km afstand van het pension en de stad Trikala bevindt zich op 25 km afstand. De omgeving leent zich ook uitstekend om te mountainbiken, te klimmen en te wandelen. WiFi is gratis in alle ruimtes.

The Vavitsas Guesthouse is perfectly situated in Kastraki for any traveller wishing to walk or drive to the monasteries. (Kastraki is a quiet village. Far removed from the more commercial Kalambakas). The Vavitsas is warm and welcoming. The rooms decorated beautifully with the artistic flair of the owner's wife. Immaculately clean bathroom with modern fixtures. The owner could not have been more attentive. The family also run the taverna a few metres' walk along the road where we ate a couple o.
Everything was just perfect!! Beautiful hotel with great attention to detail, extremely clean. Pavlos, the owner goes out of his way to make sure everything is taken care of for the guests. Located at Kastraki with wonderful view of Meteora right from the balcony. All three of us are very highly recommending it to every one. Definitely going back.
Almost everything was great! Hotel seems to be just built - rooms are very clean and very stylish! There are about 8 rooms, so we had personalized service :) And, of course, amazing view of Metheores! Strongly recommend to visit this hotel!.
The hotel is located at the edge of the village and so access to the road leading to the monasteries is immediate without the traffic of Kalabaka at the hot season. Very clean and well faciliated rooms, helpful and polite owner.

The bedroom was a little small with access to the double bed from only one side which involved an element of gymnastics! This did not detract from our stay, but mentioned here for the benefit of those who might not have been to the gym recently!.

Stone crockery for breakfast, so coffee was cold within mins, but no problems when we asked for it to be warmed up.
