  We enjoyed Chania and the hotel very much. We live in Crete (East) but have not been to Chania before and we found the old port to be very beautiful. We loved the design of the hotel and the position for walking out and about the town. Especially we appreciated the help and attitude of the young girl receptionist who booked us in who was most he... wat mensen zeggen » lpful and courteous as were all the staff. We were staying overnight before flying from Chania airport for the 1st time and we did not realise the tow - Located a block from the harbor and right in the heart of Old Town Chania, Palazzo Duca is perfect! It is a fancy place--beautiful, clean, and polished. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was a palace! Very comfortable king size bed, sitting area with table and chairs, patio with view of harbor with table and chairs, a kitchenette in the room stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking pans plus refrigerator. The bathroom was lovely with a heavenly large shower.

  The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a quick chat with them everyday. The rooms used to be cleaned every day. It was extremely important for us - people with little children. The 2 room apartment which we booked as one "with partial seaview" had a breathtaking seaview on the right of balcony (the sea is only 50-80m away) an... wat mensen zeggen » d a splendid mountainview on the left. The building is not that far away from historical downtown (20 - 25 min walking with children) but definitely i - It is the second time we visit Magia Apts. We like this place because it is close to old town and to the center and at the same time Magia Apts are quiet and peacefull. We are very satisfied from our stay at a clean and pleasant room and from the kindly staff.

  The staff was extremely nice. They booked a taxi to the airport for us for a very good price and they recommended us good restaurants and places to visit. The location of the hotel is also perfect, close to the city center but far away from the noise. The highlight of our stay was the hospitality of the host and his son (George) who took extremely good care of us offering drinks, information about the city, help with booking ferry tickets, excursions, restaurant recommendations etc etc. This is how we would ideally want all of our vacation hotels to be!   Billy, hotel manager, was an excellent help to all our inquiries. He is accommodating and assisted us when our itinerary changed abruptly. She brought my clothes to a laundromat; mailed a rare fruit specimen (legally) to the United States; and when I lost my cellphone, picked it up (after I left Crete) and mailed it home. The facilities at Madonna Studios are excellent, but the real difference is Thomais. - I liked the room which was big and bright, I could easily prepare my own dish as the cooker, coffee maker, kettle were provided or go to the tavern which was just across the street. the landlady was very helpful, kind and she even baked for us traditional cakes with cheese!! we had fresh flowers every day too.I stayed for 3 days and truly enjoyed it.

  The apartment is full of character, absolutely beautiful, spacious and well-furnished. Our rooms were cleaned every day to a very high standard with linens and towels refreshed regularly. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful. Our entire stay was a pleasure and we would certainly recommend it to others. - Great location, centrally located in the old town and yet outside the heavily touristy area with its TShirt and towel shops and restaurant touts.. Nice and easy-going owner TV programm doesn't distract to much from the charmes of the city: there was exactly one channel on offer ;-)

  It's all about the view folks. Although we arrived late the previous evening, the smile on my wife's face when she through open the shutters on our first full day in Crete was priceless. OK, the room was compact, and the stairs are steep but Natasha & Dimitri made us feel very welcome on our modest budget. The meandering streets & photogenic alleys are right outside your back door. - Location is fantastic - right on the old Venetian harbour. The rooms are a bit dated but well equipped and quite comfortable. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. We had room 2 with 2 rooms and a balcony which was a great place to relax at any time of day or night.
