  We loved Alcanea Boutique hotel! The room was spacious and almost as big as our entire house with beautiful views over Chania's port. Really friendly, caring and lovely staff. It is a shame we only spend one night. Our daughter had a great time. It was in the middle of Chania's old centre. Everything in walking distance. The hotel was beautiful an... wat mensen zeggen » d lovingly restored. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, plenty of choice for everybody. Absolutely recommended. - Could not have asked for more in a hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful with plenty of great recommendations. The location of the hotel was great, still close to the port but just away from all the noise that comes from the restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and designed individually, a bit like a home away from home. Each room also has a lovely view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chania.

  This is a delightful old hotel run by 2 octogenarian sisters who were born in it before it was expanded into a hotel. It was once an Austrian consulate and also a command center for the Nazis in World War II. The location is ideal on the coastal road northeast of town in the Halapa district. The substantial buffet breakfast takes place on the top floor with beautiful sea views. The room was clean - Doma is the kind of hotel where you can imagine your great-grandparents staying on their honeymoon. But don't be mistaken: despite its appearances the hotel is absolutely contemporary with a modern bathroom, flatscreen TVs, silent air-conditioners and free wifi in the lobby (spoilt travelers may want to have wifi in their room, though).
