  My wife and I stayed at the Royal Hotel the last night of our stay in Greece. We were looking for someplace close to the airport, due to our early morning flight. We were pleasantly surprised when, upon check-in, we were informed that we had been upgraded to a "Sea view room", which included breakfast, however, due to the fact that we would be... wat mensen zeggen » leaving before 5:00 am, the restaurant would not be open, so the front desk personel arranged to have a box breakfast for my wife and I. We were inv - The staff! They are absolutely the best. Even before we arrived, they made themselves available via email to answer all sorts of questions as well as offer very helpful advice. Those interactions made us feel as if we had friends waiting to greet us in Greece. This was especially helpful since Thessaloniki was the start of our 17-day trip (via car) throughout Greece. Great place to stay if you want to spend a day before/after going to the airport, or even longer if you just want to relax by the pool.

  The hotel is in a quiet area, away from city's crowd and noise. I'm not sure how to go to down town if you don't have a car. We had one and it was easy to go around. Room was big enuogh for a family with one kid. It was clean. Bathroom stuff was adequate. We stayed in mountain side so didn't benefit the city view. But our view was nice as well. Breakfast wasn - The hotel is in a quiet area, away from city's crowd and noise. If you have a car you can go to down town in 15 minutes otherwise by bus no 58 (the bus stop is 200 m from the hotel) takes 40 minutes. Room was big enough, it was clean and bathroom stuff was adequate. Staff was very helpful and suggested a nice restaurant when we asked. Internet was free and worked well.
