  Great location - right in the centre of Chania's old town. Beautiful old house. Our room was small but clean, thoughtfully furnished and well appointed. She brought my clothes to a laundromat; mailed a rare fruit specimen (legally) to the United States; and when I lost my cellphone, picked it up (after I left Crete) and mailed it home. The facilities at Madonna Studios are excellent, but the real difference is Thomais. - I liked the room which was big and bright, I could easily prepare my own dish as the cooker, coffee maker, kettle were provided or go to the tavern which was just across the street. the landlady was very helpful, kind and she even baked for us traditional cakes with cheese!! we had fresh flowers every day too.I stayed for 3 days and truly enjoyed it.

  Quite a comfortable hotel 3 - 5 min away from 4 nice bays. VERY helpful stuff: though the reception is being closed in the evenings/nights you call a number and get help even after midnight! Another several times we needed help - it was always there. Probably the biggest swimming pool among same-level hotels in the neighborhood.   Very nice hotel, the one bedroom apartment was very spacious with two balconies with terrace and sliding doors. Very private. Cleaners did great job - even washed the dishes. Towels were changed regularly. Staff was friendly and always smiling. Breakfast was the same for the 12 days we have stayed, but it was delicious anyway. The location is gre... wat mensen zeggen » at, close to four different beaches, tavernas and shops. But keep in mind it is not a town - just kind of suburb of Chania. Tavernas: definitely visit - The location was great - 5 minutes to bus stop to Chania and 5 minutes' walk to the beach. Located on a silent street, so no noise from the traffic during the night. The swimming pool was very nice and so was the breakfast-served daily between 8 and 10 with a variety of food - eggs,bacon,greek salad,musli,milk,toasts,buns,cake,yoghurt,fruits etc.

  We travelled around Crete 14 days - every night different place. Athina was the most fantastic place I've been in Crete!!! we stay on 4 days! Located in the quite and quality area near Chania. Within 3-10 min. walk to all 4 fabulous picturesque small bays with good facilities and tavernas. Very modern, quiet, has the luxury feel, closed up from bypassers but just outside the gate you get all the shops, resta - We liked the hotel very much! The staff of the hotel is so helpful and friendly, always ready to help. Rooms are really big and comfortable, everything is new. There are all necessary at the kitchen. Rooms are cleaned every day. Swimming pool is always clean and warm. Washing machine and iron are available. This hotel is situated in the quiet street, but very close to three wonderful beaches with clean water and sand and main street with shops and taverns. This hotel is strongly recommended
