  It's all about the view folks. Although we arrived late the previous evening, the smile on my wife's face when she through open the shutters on our first full day in Crete was priceless. OK, the room was compact, and the stairs are steep but Natasha & Dimitri made us feel very welcome on our modest budget. The meandering streets & photogenic alleys are right outside your back door. - Location is fantastic - right on the old Venetian harbour. The rooms are a bit dated but well equipped and quite comfortable. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. We had room 2 with 2 rooms and a balcony which was a great place to relax at any time of day or night.

Not only by offering us fresh fruit and raki on arrival and carrying our baggage up the narrow staircase but also by their overall cordiality. We stayed there twice and thus saw 2 of the 6 rooms, and we especially recommend the balcony top floor one -- you h - I was impressed with the hospitality and friendliness of our staff. She brought my clothes to a laundromat; mailed a rare fruit specimen (legally) to the United States; and when I lost my cellphone, picked it up (after I left Crete) and mailed it home. The facilities at Madonna Studios are excellent, but the real difference is Thomais. - I liked the room which was big and bright, I could easily prepare my own dish as the cooker, coffee maker, kettle were provided or go to the tavern which was just across the street. the landlady was very helpful, kind and she even baked for us traditional cakes with cheese!! we had fresh flowers every day too.I stayed for 3 days and truly enjoyed it.

  Fantastic situation right in the heart of Chania - Old Town. Room was traditionally furnished with a balcony overlooking the street - perfect. Easy walking to cafes and shops. Only 5 mins from all the harbour front restaurants. You can't drive to the hotel, as the area is for pedestrians only, but parking was only a couple minute walk away. Overall, a great value for your money - clean, fantastic location, nice managers!

  As I could not find any comprehensive review on this hotel here is mine. Me and my wife (in our early 30ties) stayed in the hotel recently for 8 nights. The hotel is family run by two very friendly and welcoming brothers who sometimes joined by their father who is also very welcoming. All speak good English with elder brother Antonis being (in my ... wat mensen zeggen » understanding) manager of the hotel and speaking better English than his brother and father. Location is very convenient. Although in the residential - Relaxing rooftop terrace as there was not a swimming pool due to central location. Close proximity (2 minutes walk) to local harbour and sandy beach, great location and better value meals & drinks to old town. However the old town is only 5 minutes walk and a charming place.
