Professional, kind & helpful staff. We had a lot of privacy. Waiters were a delight to talk to. Indika & crew, thank you for everything! Guys at the reception were quick-witted and very accommodating. I broke my Iphone USB cable and Mr. Manager directed me to a mobile accessories shop in Aluthgama and voila! I got a replacement :) Ravi, the unofficial resident tuk-tuk driver of the Villa. Steadfast & jovial, he has a great knowledge of the all the attractions in Bentota. He lives in.
kaikki arvostelut » Like a delightful oasis at the end of a long and grueling car journey from Ella, we came upon this place and didn't want to leave again (ever!) Rooms are all individual , but I cannot imagine any of them would disappoint. The place is relaxed and chilled but not really somewhere I'd recommend for children and I'm happy to say there were none there during our stay !! (sorry kids) . I read 1 review complaining about the breakfast which I cannot understand because we thought it was lovely and yo. The entire setting was just wonderful. The quaint artistic design is just amazing. The whole setup of the property makes you not want to leave the hotel premises. The rooms are well designed(we stayed at the superior suite 4) and the view and room size was more than decent. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Well scented rooms, beautiful and clean pool. You can spend hours lazing around various parts of the hotel. Wonderful location and beautiful hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff - welcomed by a refreshing ginger drink and a hot towel. Good sized pool in amazing garden. Delicious and well priced food - best breakfast in Sri Lanka!. Beautiful rooms, great pool, we actually thought the train going through the garden was quirky and typically sri lankan so we liked it, the food was great. The styling and design. The setting next to sea. Good garden with coconut trees. Comfort clean linen good food. None that I can think of. But if I could nit-pick: Food and beverage were exceptional & of excellent quality, but pricey for Sri Lankan standards. But it wasn't really an issue as other dining options outside of the hotel were beyond horrendous. The fare offered in the other hotels and eating places down the beach do not compare at all. So if you do stay here, the only other decent restaurant would be at the adjacent Club Villa. 1) no wi fi in the rooms.only in the common areas. 2) there is a small railway track running behind the hotel and sometimes passing train noises can be annoying. Although the trains are far and few. Our stay was only for 2 nights!. It is pricey but then you are getting luxury. The train noise. Property has no breakfast rather poor breakfast. I was to order 24 hours before if i wanted a choice of breakfast. absolute non sense. It is not a 5 star hotel as rated by letsbookhotel.com. Hotel is dead after 10 in the night. Staff is ready to fight with guest. Staircase to rooms is narrow and pathetic. Too expansive for what it has to offer. Hardly any staff Not a 24 hr hotel Only 2 rooms were occupied of the 15 so that was eerie No full fledged breakfast bar either English or Sri Lankan or ala carte Food is costlier compared to other hotels.
