Hotel on the Cay is an unbeatable location, a short ferry ride from downtown Christiansted. It is like stepping into a world apart, with a beautiful beach, crystal-clear water and gorgeous views. Yet you are always just minutes away from the nightlife, restaurants and shopping of Christiansted. This is an older hotel, but it is well maintained and a great deal compared to other much-pricier hotels on St. Croix.

And the staff did their best to resolve our situation... We arrived after the main season ended and it was still fantastic. Felt like we owned a private island. It was truly wonderful. As Soon as I save the money, I'm going back!!. I enjoyed my stay very much, because it felt like I was in another world, so peaceful and the surroundings are so spectacular fresh looking. I will return sometime soon. I love the fact that it was a quiet little secluded island in the heart of town with shopping, bars, clubs just a 2 min boat ride away!. Everything even the little stones on the ground. The Beach and beds were comfortable. location rooms birds. Staff was awesome. Location. It is unique to be able to stay at a cay next to an island in the Caribbean. The beach at the cay is good to relax and swim in, and we were told also for snorkeling. The ferry is always available, moving constantly between the cay and the main island until midnight. Trips to the protected reef area of Buck Island depart from the waterfront where the ferry docks. A taxi stop is also nearby the waterfront. The other guests, either at the hotel or from time-share rooms, were very friendly. It was on a beautiful tiny island all by its self. proximity to town. it was really quiet and relaxing. Location. The only bar and restaurant at the hotel is a beach bar that closes at 4:30 p.m. After that, you cannot get food or drinks at the hotel (other than soda from vending machines). Your only option is to leave the cay and take the ferry over to Christiansted. Also, note that the ferry stops running at midnight, so younger people who want to party late should be forewarned. Not knowing I would have to hunt for coffee. The only thing I didn't like is that you don't have a restaurant for dinner. The pool area was poorly kept. No wi fi inside the room is the worst thing. The ferry service after midnight. Was unable to get ahold of the captain on the phone number that they left on the sign of the office door. So had to wake up friend to go look for them. the absence of diner restaurant and that after 5 pm only vending machines are available on the island. Sugar ants all over the room, including my bed while I was sleeping. Problems with the unit were very slow to be corrected by staff. The property is a bit run-down and staff are unenthusiastic. The hotel is way over due for an update. Feels a little past its prime. Watersports are there but do not seem to be encouraged. Staff wasn't that friendly, hotel was being repaired everywhere, trees being cut down and just left in place to walk around. The hotel was in horrible condition. And all the tax and fees was not included when I book it online. Not worth the money. Will never stay there again.
