The hotel room was amazing. We had an ocean-view room and i would definitely recommend this to anyone who is staying at this hotel even if it costs a bit more. It's location is right next to all the shopping and only a 5-minute walk to Frnechtown which has some really good bars and restaurants. The airport is only a 10-15 minute drive away, and if you're planning on taking the ferry to St. John, then that is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel as well.
all reviews » We arrived at night and it was very close to the airport. We also ordered dinner which was very good! The hotel is also located on the waterfront, so you immediately relax and see all the boats docked. We even saw two cruise ships coming in!. It was convenient, for what we had to do, very nice rooms. We went in the beginning of the off season, so It really wouldn't be fair to judge to harshly. The staff members I dealt with were wonderful. Convenience to the airport, and ability to walk to shops and restaurants. Secure parking/facility, amenities, friendliness/helpfulness of staff. We loved everything from it.The front desk to the employees.this is our second time in the hotel. Great place, very comfortable for an overnight n either end of a sailing trip. Waterfront location, close to shopping, airport and governmental offices. location to ferries, ease of check-in & check-out. Good pool area for snatching a lst hour in the sun. Location to shopping. Closs to the farry. Most of the staff was very friendly (with exception of one woman at the reception desk). Also, the service at the restaurant was really bad. Either they would take a really long time, or competely mess up the order. If you're goig to eat you might as well head out to one of the nearby restaurants. No complaints. Not being able to get a cup of coffee, before 8 am, and no place to go in reasonable walking distance, but I'm a heavy coffee drinker. Hotel: Nothing letsbookhotel.com: I paid for a reduced rate oceanside room, but the hotel received a reservation for a standard room. Renovation is still going on in many rooms. The close proximity of a lot of rooms to the road outside and the noise which came from it. We stayed there on a Saturday night and incredibally load music from cars passing and also motorcycles roaring along the road. Our room was not as viewed on website. Room are old. Room was a bit shopworn--carpet felt dirty and bath showed plenty of wear and tear. Absolutely no hotel information in room and hard to obtain it. Mediocre food and restricted bar with no drinks menu. Food and drink were poor value for money. A walk in shower and no tub would have been much better in the small bathroom. staff at front desk very unfriendly. nothing I didn't like. Mold smell, noise, tired feel and look. cleanliness, lack of equipment in room ( asked for an iron 3 times), ac unit was off and room smells awful, surroundings of hotel were dirty and smelly. Compared with previous visit, I would not stay again. VERY noisy, pretty basic, not a destination hotel, just a means to an end. Caribbean people's Attitude is not what Americans are used to, it's kind of flippant like they are doing you a Favor not good for the tourist industry. The staff was not helpful - the housekeeping staff was not very good - most days we never got shampoo, soap etc. we never got clean towels till late afternoon. The gift shop was never open. My letsbookhotel.com stated we got breakfast for $10 and the hotel would not acknowledge that. Service. Reception slow, restaurant awful. Slowest and most inefficient breakfast we can remember. The people there clearly hated their job. The property was old and well worn. In need of repair and updated. Air conditioner didn't work. They only took $20.00 off the total. Wouldn't go back. I asked specifically for a renovated room when I did my booking and they put us in an old fashion room. This is the first time it happened. I have stayed before and ask for modern rooms and they always accomodate to my request.
