Valentine hotel has a very friendly manager and staff in general. The room and the whole hotel was very clean and tidy, the room spacious and well organised. The manager was not pushy into organised trips as in many places before but very helpful and willing to offer the best. A really nice stay indeed!. The staff are the most friendly I have found on my holiday experience of Asia nothing is ever too much trouble and they are always there with helpful advice. The Hotel is superbly located and is clean and comfortable with good hot water and airconditioning. Overall a most enjoyable experience.

For a first time in that hotel, cleaning lady tuned on air-condition after cleaning and left it on that we could have nice temperature in room. The charming and helpful personnel. They serve you free ice tea if you stay a bit longer in the lobby while working or browsing the internet. Breakfast included is nice even though it is not in huge quantities. Staff was very friendly and helpful, without being pushy of their own tours. Nice with a bathtub, so the entire bathroom does not get wet when you take a shower. It's not super fancy but has everything you would expect from a budget hotel. Good location, close to a few pool halls if you want to relax and have a beer and only a 5 minute walk from the town and some decent restaurants. Good value for money. Plus it has a lift, bonus!!. Servicem-minded staff and cheap rooms. We liked everything. Problem with toilet - something was broken and after flushing water was dripping very slowly - so it was problem to use toilet after somebody. We've asked to repair it but they didn't do it. But that was not very big deal. Maybe slightly far off from the historical center but it is in a calm street. The mattress was a bit firm. Breakfast was a bit dull. Laundry mis-coloured the socks. Not having tea making facilities in the room (electric jug and cups). Located on a small side street which was quite dark at night. Rooms are very damp because there are no real ventilations and no windows facing the outside from the rooms. This means linen and towels are smelly sour and nothing can dry. Encouraged by the friendly staff we booked our bus ticket through the hotel. NEVER use their booking service, they charged us DOUBLE the real price. Stay for cheap rooms but avoid overpriced "booking service".
