My wife and I had a fabulous albeit relatively short 5 night stay here during our tour of Vietnam. The resort was first class; not your typical boutique hotel but much smaller than the larger resorts in Da Nang. The hotel has a beautiful setting by the beach, fantastic pool and very attentive staff who couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was also excellent with a wide variety for all tastes. Our room was upgraded and we had nice welcome surprise. Nice breakfast , good working WiFi , free bicycle! Gorgeous sea view room. Perfect staff and extraordinary , superb service made our stay unforgettable one ! I want to say : Thank you ! ...happy customer always come back !. The hotel is quite a way out of the centre of Hoi An although the hotel runs a regular shuttle service we would have preferred to have been nearer to the town where there is an excellent and vast choice of bars and resturants. Our room smelt very damp when we arrived like it had been closed up for a long time however the staff offered to move us and were very helpful. Limited drinks available at the pool bar and very expensive. This new resort style hotel was very large and impressive to look at but it was almost empty and didn't have the friendly welcoming atmosphere we found in other places in Vietnam. It felt seperate from the rest of world but I suppose that's why some people choose a resort style accomodation. the spa massage was not that relaxing. Smallish room with little storage space. Restaurant okay, but not great. BBQ dinner. Leaving. Scheduled times for shuttle bus are too limited: only every 2 hours. Some of the bikes available are in pretty bad shape for a hotel only 2 years old. Gym room is very small and has no air con inside. Hotel could need a more personal/ individual touch to really be called a boutique resort. We found the hotel a bit overpriced: during our 3 weeks, we've stayed in hotels with much better service/ quality for less money. Bad smell of fungus in ground floor room. Not enough sunshades and sunbeds on the beach Don't bother with the bicycles - 1 star quality. The resort is overdue for a facelift. It is comfortable enough but it is looking a bit tired and dated. The bar service at the pool was slow and quite expensive. We ate and drank across the road mostly (great food and service with friendly locals). Reception staff were not particularly helpful, and some completely incompetent. Cleaning ladies would literally bang down the door in the morning to come in and clean the room, which wasn't relaxing in the slightest. The rooms were a bit basic, and the workmanship was shoddy in places.
