Breakfast buffet was sumptuous for this price category. Pool on the rooftop is small, but serves its purpose well. Liked the sunshade cover over the pool. Rooms are spacious & clean. Bathroom has all necessary amenities. Hotel arranged pick-up from airport and sent us to our next destination in Vung Tao beach as well. Staff is utmost polite, attentive, kind & smiling. Have stayed already 3 times at Huong Sen Hotel & will return... Excellent value for money + superb location in downt.
all reviews » The staff did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The security was 100% and the hotel was very clean.The swimming pool is a big bonus as not many (if any) 3 star hotels have that facility. And even though it is rather small it is a huge bonus in the hot sticky weather. The room staff were very thorough and very friendly.All in all the staff make the hotel what it is. A very comfortable, affordable hotel in perfect location. The staff were so very, very helpful - I was taken ill during my stay and they went over & above the call of duty to help me re-arrange flights & get suitable medical attention. I can thoroughly recommend the Huong Sen. Thanks to all the staff for making me so welcome!. The rooms were very comfortable and staff were really helpful. Unfortunately there were renovations going on which made it very noisy during the day. However we would stay there again as the staff really tried hard to accommodate our need for a quiet room. Breakfast is good and a nice pool, spa and massage area. Perfect central area amongst top end hotels like Caravelle, Rex, Majestic, but at half the price and it still had restaurant, bar, pool, gym and spa. Being a smaller hotel gave us the opportunity to become familiar with the staff who were all excellent and super friendly, effecient and went that extra mile. It was a very pleasurable stay. The staff were polite and obliging. Most had a good understanding of english. The massage staff were excellent well worth indulging yourself with a couple of massages. Very central position to a number of highlights around hcm City. I really liked the central situation of the hotel, in a very safe environment. You can easily walk around to the must see sites. Walking distance from the main attractions, althoug there isn't much to explore on Dong Khoi because it's overladed with exclusive brands shops. The simplicity and unobtrusive nature of the place, comfy firm beds and location. staff was friendly. we had a miscommunication about the airport pick-up, they tried to come to an agreement with us. The breakfasts were not the best. Even some 2 sar hotel have better.But if you stuck to fried eggs over easy with a baggette, you were fine. The "fitness centre" is a room with an ancient running machine and should be scrapped or up dated. I wouldn't advertise that, it is misleading. Nothing!. noise level. Although the room was very spascious it is a slightly old in appearance and the bed dipped a little in the middle. A bit of of modernisation would be nice. I found the beds were very hard, however that does seem to be common around Asia. There were some spare quilts in the wardrobe my wife used to add comfort to the bed. All was perfect!. I don't really want to fill this in but the pool was on the small side and covered. However saying that, I was so busy seeing the sites that I didn't have much time to sit around the pool. Also not good to sit in the heat too long. Staff at breakfast could sometimes be a little zealous in clearing away dishes. Sometimes took my tea or coffee away before finishing. Also wanted to tidy my newspaper! I can't say it annoyed me. Just made me laugh. The swimming pool is a joke , as is the gym. Neither should be mentioned in any advertisement. While some of the staff were really nice, few others were not that helpful. But overall a very good hotel. Would like to see tissues in the room, breakfast needs to be later. The times are far too early, especially if you want to have a sleep in. price. The bathroom was small and not comfortable. Electronic devices (TV, hairdryer, lights switches, etc.) are out-of-date. There were some troubles with ventilation because air in the room was dead and wet in spite of air conditioning. Shower over the bath a little difficult yo get into and pool hours of opening could have been longer. Nothing - it was spot on. The Windows are single-wall: if you room is on the main street, it can be noisy. The pool is nice but the surroundings a Little bit Basic. Breakfast wasn't there strength versus some of the other hotels that we stayed at in Vietnam. Bed was a bit hard. Bed was a bit hard but that's just nit picking. Nothing that was not satisfactory. Recommend asking for a quiet room it will have no view but worth the sleep. The pool was a bit small. Nothing. Pool shuts down in middle of the day..the restaurant needs new chef..food was truly awful but decor excellent..nice restaurant across the road though. massage staff. Pool and gym size were small limiting use to a few at a time. beds too hard. poor choice of breakfast... it was also cold. Massage wasn't very good. The style is not so fashion. Work was being done in the next room with a hammer drill so could not stay in the room intil after 5.00pm, we asked for a free massage as a bit of a gesture but was refused....!. Breakfast was cold after 8. Extra effort could be made to room cleanness. Computers aren't provided. Quality and choice of breakfast, furniture slightly outdated. n/a. the room smelled damp. hotel was quite old. little bit noisy.
