Everything about this place was awesome! The staff were very friendly, the food was amazing, the massage packages we had were amazing (1hour massage plus 4 course dinner for $50 AUD), the beaches were lovely - mostly rocky just outside the resort, with patches of sandy beach (which my daughter loved - looking for crabs, looking in the rockpools etc), with large sandy beaches about 2 minutes walk along the shore. The buffet breakfasts were incredible! The rooms were so lovely - huge, comfortable.
all reviews » The hotel is located in a quiet place in the town, away from the noisy boke market and backpackers' houses. Spa rooms are along the beach side and it was quite nice to have sound of the waves during massage.Breakfast is not bad with pretty much selection, and staff are very helpful. Thus, it's a good choice for vacation. Btw, it was my friend's bday trip. I rushed out early on her bday morning, and asked receptionist for cake as surprise for my friend...haha, can't forget her amazing face when . Bungalows are fantastic. Staff is friendly, educated and reasonably speaks English. One thing I want to specifically highlight is the restaurant. The restaurant is outstanding, big choice of dishes, good service and nice food. Very different from any other restaurants in Mui ne, that's more about enjoying taste rather than just filling the stomach. Really great place to stay...the kids club was free between 9-5 and was well equipped. The food especially the vietnamese fish disches were really yummy. The ocean front rooms are really great with the outdoor shower and hammock. The spa was great value and very relaxing. Short taxi ride or 20-30 min walk to Mui Ne central. The bungalows are enormous big (78 m2) and beautiful. The outdoorshower was fantastic. Even our garden bungalow had sea view! Service was also great. They even made the bed ready for sleeping ang left a little story and a good night cake. Breakfast buffet had everything you could dream off! Just wonderful!. We have been travelling for six weeks and Victoria has been our best stay. The atmosphere is fantastic, a very friendly staff, the food at the restaurant is the best gormet meals we have had. Villas har wonderful, I hope we will come back some time. It was a wonderful week. Service by the staff was excellent. We had a beach side villa and it was great, the bathroom was big and the outdoor shower was an interesting feature. The breakfast was also good with lots of variety. We arrived very late in the night and there was someone to meet us. Very nice hotel, beautiful property, great sea view... Management is very cooperative & supportive! Outdoor shower was wonderful!! Definitely choose the beach front villa. Its a place to relax like not many other on the world. I don't think there was anything we didn't like. Oh, the kids club could have been better set-up with more toys, maybe with movies on a TV etc., but everything else about the resort was perfect. The disadvantage brought by quiet environment is that the location is far away from Boke market and sinh cafe office, around VD100k one way for taxi. However, we both think that it worths the taxi expenses. Can't really think of anything negative. Beach did not have any real sand. Understand it shifts during the seasons but it seems that the break wall that is made at the adjacent Poshanu resort is blocking some of the sand migrating. Check out was a little slow....but that is just getting really picky. There is no swimming beach directly in front of the hotel, but you can walk 2 minutes to the left and swim there. Town is about 2-3 minutes by taxi (too far to walk) but there are bikes for free. Everything was fantastic. The hotel is located a little way out from the main Mui Ne shopping strip (I.E. tourist area), you will need to catch a taxi into town as it's a little to far to walk, cost is approx. $4 us each way. The only immediate drawback is lack of sandy beach on the property & I would install a fence between the seaside & seaside walkway to avoid anyone accidentally falling down…. The design could be slightly upgraded. The oldschool touch is nice and gives the atmosphere, but still to be competitive should be slightly face lifted. The live music at the pool is simply people repealing... Absolutely nothing. Sightseeing offers and trip management needs improvement. Bar is too expensive (no value for money). The meals can be a bit expensive. There is no direct access to the beach at that resort and that is why we would not go there again. We felt a bit deceived by staying at the beach bungalow... Check Poshanu or The Cliff which are next door and have a beach. Also massively overpriced!!! You can walk to the next village (around 20min walk) and get everything 5 times cheaper. Bit hard to take some days the smell of the fish sauce wafting in the breeze. - It's 2-3 km from the bars, restaurants etc; - it's at the sea, but you can not swim there; - restaurant prices are really high. Needs a better transportation arrangements from Saigon. sometimes the towels and bed linen were not replaced as expected. Staff had very poor English even simple questions could be a problem. Not lots to see. Location is good for a wind down. location is not good. Far away from center. The only negative for the location of the hotel is that there is no actual beach in front of the hotel, you can find one a short walk away but then there are no sun beds or shade. bad beach. Menu in restaurant very boring. There beach at the hotel was rocky, no sand beach at all. We had to walk to the neighboring resort (5 min.). Staff were not the least bit helpful nor friendly. Everything comes with a price at this resort, nothing is complimentary. Shower head is outdoors and there are lots of bugs and insects flying around at night making it impossible to shower without insects landing on your naked body. Will never ever return to this resort again.
