We are a family of 5 with three teenage boys. We stayed at the Goldenland Hotel for three nights. Danny and his staff were just fantastic and it took no time at all for this little hotel to feel like our home away from home. Great location and in the old quarter of town and a great walk to many great fun and surprising places for those that really like to get amongst the street life. We will certainly be back. Also great value for money with a relaxing spa bath to be had at the end of each busy.
all reviews » Danny and his team were phenomenal! Nothing was too much trouble and they made everyone feel so welcome! Our room was enormous (room 141) with two large double beds and lots of floor space. Danny also organised, at very short notice, for us to travel down to Danang, then arranged a driver and guide to meet us to take us to Hoi An and Hue. We were greeted getting off the train and everything he'd booked for us was superb. I cannot rate this hotel (and the team running it) highly enough. Everything about this hotel was excellent. The staff were efficient and helpful and spoke very good English. The hotel arranged two tours at a favourable rate (Halong Bay and SaPa) and even threw in Airport Transfers to thank us for our business. The rooms were big, clean and well appointed. En-suite with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was superb. There is nothing I can say to the detrement of this hotel and I would like to thank all the staff for their excellent service. :). This is a wonderful little hotel, well located with a very nice staff and a great breakfast. I enjoyed my stay at Golden Land and always felt welcome when I arrived from my daily outings. The room was a nice size and very clean. Everything worked and I thought the bed was very comfortable. The staff was always very well informed, Danny booked a trip for me and some friends to Halong Bay and we had a very nice trip. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Mr Danny and his staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful - they helped us arrange trips to Ha Long Bay and Sa Pa, took us to the train station both times, upgraded our room for my birthday and went above and beyond the call of duty throughout our stay. The rooms were great - particularly the jacuzzi bathtubs! And we loved the breakfast choices and delicious food... Great location in old quarter, large room with spa bath, great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Danny the manager arranged all our trips before we got there and they were great - we recommend the overnight cruise in Halong Bay and the day trip to Tam Coc - highlights of our holiday. Shower head is really short! Have to hold it by hand. Shower not really working good as hot and cold water difficult to adjust. Nothing. very little details in bathroom. Not at all. a little bit expensive compare than other bathtube not well fixed. a bit better breakfast. Limited breakfast -2 menus. They did not mentioned 3% of banking charge at beginning. After argued with them, we only paid as confirmed rate. a little bit too pushy in regarding selling their tours. Just a bit things - the bath tube is not so good. When you bath having leakage out of the tube and had not enough pressure for shower. The maid forgot to put the sheets on blankets for both beds. Generally the staff were good but I found the reception staff a bit pushy (book this, book that) and not that welcoming/friendly. Also, they ask you the night before the exact time you want breakfast the next day...which I found annoying. I'm on holiday, i've been travelling all day, I don't know! Also, be nice to have at least one complimentary bottle of water each in the bedroom. We stayed for two nights in 161 which was nice and then we checked out, and went for halong bay cruise. While we checking out we booked for 1 more night after cuise paying in advance.We returned back the next day and we were put up in 171 which was smelly, shower was not working, smaller, wifi problem. Our mistake- we paid in advance . Very noise room especially when next door neighbor starts on the karaoke but only a problem in room 111. breakfast limited.
