Enjoyed everything about the cruise. The transfer to and from Halong Bay from Hanoi. The cruise was fantastic and staff second to none. The cruise manager Mr Ronald and all staff were very attentive and delivered a high standard of service. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The room and amenities clean, working and of a good standard. The cruise was relaxing and offered actives for those who wanted to participate. We did the 3 day/2night cruise. The day trip to the island where we cycled.
all reviews » We were on a two day cruise but due to weather it was cancelled on the first night. Everyone involved particularly Thao was amazing and Ronald, who was the boat captain. It was all very well organised we were booked into the Novatel and then second night upgraded to the luxury cruise ship for all the disappointment as it was our first wedding anniversary... Fantastic trip. Great staff and service. Paradise boats are clearly the nicest in Halong Bay!!! The Vietnamese food was excellent and delicious! I would recommend 2 nights and 3 days a the boat, though it really means 2 nights and 2 days exactly. The nicest tour is organized the second full day, specially if you like doing activities and visiting Cat Ba Island. Everything was great: the staff was very friendly and funny, always making sure you are ok and enjoying your stay. They are great at what they do. The boat was without doubt the best looking one on the bay. The food was divine. The activities were diverse and well prepared. Everything about this cruise was amazing.Staff were so unbelievable,rooms fantastic and the food out of this world.We have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world but this room beats them all on Paradise Peak!!!!!!!!! LOVED IT. This was an outstanding trip we were on Boat 4 with the best Captain & crew in Halong Bay Miss Swan our Host gave us six Aussie couples the best time ever. The day boat was great also. The location, the boat and the experience was so great that we booked an extra night once on board, leading to us being no-show for our next hotel in Ha Long Bay. Away from all the other boats felt like we were in boat city. Nothing. nothing to add. Food very seafood based which if you do not like seafood could be an issue but apart from this small matter no complaints at all. Nothing that I can think of at present. Programm was a bit too tight. Massage, private car driver who didnt speak a word of English but nonetheless managed to convey his unhappiness of being driver (the journey starts/ends with car so get that detail fixed). When I arrived the cruise was cancelled due to what they said was a travel advisory since there was a Typhoon coming. We did take the cruise for the day. There was no Typhoon forecasted anywhere on weather report. The weather was sunny throughout the day. It was a holiday weekend and it seemed very convenient for the cruise staff to accept a ridiculous Typhoon advisory. You really can't trust Vietnamese motive. Some of the other guests. Not faults at all. Poor communication at several points caused fustration. Change in itinerary not detailed at time of booking casued great disappointment; after much tooing and throwing I hope to get a partly satisfactory resolution. Staff shouted outside cabin late at night when the weather turned bad. It was a nice trip but certainly not luxurious enough to justify the cost. It could be better if cappuccino coffee include in the price as we booked the deluxe room its should be special for the price that we had paid. Activity was not variety.
