I stayed here whilst backpacking with my boyfriend and it was hot lovely that staff were helpful and pleasant. They did not try to push any tours onto us or try and get us to pay extra for anything. They were very knowledgable about the island and made our stay that much better. The rooms were spacious and very well priced! With excellent views of halong bay. We would definitely stay here again! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Cat ba.
all reviews » Very close to the ferry terminal. In the middle of the waterfront strip and with an ATM directly across the street. Staff are friendly and helpful. Resturant is reasonably priced and serves good Asian food. Room was clean and comfortable and had a splendid view of the harbour. got there cold and wet and owner immediately told us to go to the room and put heating on. free tea and coffee in room, wonderful view, read reviews and went for a front room. plenty of hot water 24/7. it was good value for what we paid.. This is a small hotel with a very modest rate operated by a family, which was friendly and made an effort to be helpful. We had a front room which was spacious with a view of the bay. Internet worked perfectly. good location. Very attentive staff, a big thank you master! all prompts and help if problems arise. We will definitely go to this hotel!. They gave us a room with a spectacular view which was so sweet. Huge room and great value for money. Overall I would stay again. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. Lift is on the second floor, but staff will gladly haul your luggage up the one flight of stairs. Check out was before noon, at 10am they sturned off the electricity.. Customer service could have been better/more friendly. A bug in hotel was a supprise. very few staff have a good grasp of English. No credit card payment, staff not very communicative. - Beds had hard mattresses. Bathroom very basic. Smelt a bit mouldy. Couldn't get safe to work - no instructions. A/C went off during storms. Limited breakfast choice. Had to ask for discount when A/C broken (not due to storm). Very dull, no smiling staff. Did their job full stop. Evereything was just fine and good but we didnt found it worth double price 16-19$ from all the hotel that is just near 8-10$ and give you the same. The drain in our bathroom smelt causing our room to smell also. Room was cleaned daily but smell remained - smelt musty like damp soil. Room was 603, $14/night. I'm sure not all rooms are like this - the $21/night sea-view rooms may be nicer. Personell in charge at times roude and unprofessionell having a bad attitude towards their guests, E.g checkout time, if you don't buy their tours etc., In addition you can't pay with credit card as claimed on letsbookhotel.com. Air conditioning would get turned off during the day. Bathroom was very small and very basic. Bedding was poor. Bad choice.we had to change the first day and found pelnty of better and cheaper hotels. Extremely overpriced for what you get.. And oh my gosh, there was a horrific smell that came up through the drain.. It was like something was dead inside it. I couldn't use the bathroom at all.. And it even leaked into the room.. Soooo gross!.
