When we arrived we found the Executive Suite we had booked was not available. The girl at the front desk apologized. When we arrived in the room Sarah from Guest services called and offered us free breakfast and parking instead of the executive room and was very nice. Were were able to get the suite for our lat night. The food in the restaurant was excellent! Especially the Eggs Benny! Staff was great!.

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They were very accommodating when the room was not ready. The room and bed were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. My stay was very relaxing.....the bed was amazing! The view to the pool was nice.....and the decor of the room was elegant!. I had a great room on the top floor with a nice balcony sitting area. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious. Junior suite was excellent and reasonably priced. Valet staff was super, very friendly and responsive. Staff was friendly, rooms were nice and comfortable and the hotels amenities and ambience was great. I thought the staff was extremely helpful and very friendly...I thought the rooms were very spacious. The pool area was fun. The service for lunch/cocktails was excellent. The staff was very attentive. The hotel staff were very friendly and responsive. I enjoyed my stay, it was stress free. The room was very nice for two adults and two children under 10. A nice size bathroom with adequate toiletries. It was a decent hotel for the money. Its a Fairmont great rooms. Location Gym Pool. Staff was pleasant. The hotel is very busy and is in need of small repairs. Elevator was damaged, brass bar in elevator was really dirty, kind of gross. Movies in room where a bit overpriced....12.99 would be more reasonable not 16.99. The mandatory valet parking. It is a bit pricey but you can come in and out as you please so it wasn't too bad. The room wasn't exactly like the picture I thought was intended on the website. I wish there were more tv channel options and that the tv was easier to navigate. Nothing. All was really good. Location was not the best. While very close to the airport, you could not walk to shopping, restaurants, etc. we would have preferred closer to the ocean. parking. In the evening, the hot tub was packed with people. That's not really a "bad" thing unless there's no more room for you!. We had to call for towels everyday, they never seemed to know there were four of us. Parking is $29 a day, way over the top and no self park so every time you want to leave, and we did at least four times a day, tipping, tipping on top of the already outrageous parking cost. I guess you don't have to add any additional cash but you feel like an idiot if you don't and everyone else is. Our room was not ready even arter 4pm; Service to get extra items for the rooms took a very long time. nothing. Prices for food and beverages. Ten dollars a drink in small glasses they then add the tax and total. For the tip the tax is included. nothing. bathrm. lacked fan- after shower one had to wipe down the steamy mirrors- coffee set up was gone by 8:00 a.m.- one of the major networks on the t.v. was unviewable (wave lines caused channel poor quality), but upon our 2nd check-in we got a new rm. and the station was fine-. In-room dining selection. Food tasted great but was lacking a lot of standard choices. there was no local shopping within a walking distance. Keys didn't work consistently. Daniel at the front desk was extremely rude. He made the 1st impression of the hotel awful. We did not get the room we booked. The food at the pool was absolutely horrible. We just had a bad experience all the way around. The mandatory valet parking ($28 per day), The staff was inconsiderate and unaccommodating to provide the room type I originally booked. I think there needed to be more dining options than 1 restaurant. Perhaps a coffee kiosk in the a.m. Many people need a coffee and bagel for on the move instead of having to go to the main restaurant. Better options for food on the go opposed to the dining room. Restaurant closed dirty tables everywhere and told to eat in the bar. Restaurant staff didnt want to work. The hotel would be great for business as nowhere for delegates to go. Miles from the tourist side of Newport Beach. The room was too small The room gave us allergies; it was always smelly and muggy! It smelled 'swampy, and old. Facilities. The charge for car 16-day. Hotel should have self parking. The furniture and room cleanless are bad. 4Pm check in, squeaky beds, $28 valet parking, older facility. Doubletree was a better stay than here. Not worthy of the Fairmont chain name.
