The room was lovely and had such a welcoming, warm, homely and cosy atmosphere when I first walked in, with soft lighting and classical music drifting through it. Beds were very comfortable. Room was well lit and quiet. Ample seating.We really enjoyed our stay. The pillow menu is a great feature!. the service, the room so clean and the ubication. everything was close. pillow menu was cool.

But my onlycomplaint. 1.sanMartin mini bar over priced i.e., drinking water at cvs is only $ 1.5 vs $ 7.0 2,warning about a nearby restaurant: San Martin on 49th : a cockroach on the dining table could not be "removed" for 10 min. towards the end of our diner; we did not panic but were surprised to have been charged the full order though we could not finish our plates....hard to imagine the hygiene in the kitchen ! !...This time we stayed on the 16th floor. Incredibly, the noises from the street were so load that it interupted our sleep many times during the night. we would have liked a better view with are stay but it wasn't a problem. Air conditioned noise. A few things looked worn but an overall gorgeous place!. Noisy air conditioning. Extremely expensive room service. When we got to the room, the bed coverings were untucked, a note was on the desk to a different guest. An inquiry to the desk resulted in a debate about staff checking the room and changing the sheets - no one ever showed up to do anything... Sorry sir.. and changed sheets would have been the appropriate response. the bathtub is not safe, should put some metal bar or rail to avoid slipping. Paying $50 for two cups of coffee. The room was very small for the rate.
