Everything was very expensive even things that you would get for free in most places - $5 for a sewing kit, $7.50 for a bottle of water etc. Considering the high cost of the room I would expect these things to be complimentary. The room could have been cleaner when we arrived. The hotel had private parties on various nights of our stay so we couldn't use all of the facilities.the room was very small. Hotel has exceedingly dim lighting, including the room which makes itvery difficult to see anything. The room was tiny, dark and the bathroomso small that my knees almost touched the wall in front. The 'boutique'feel of the hotel is overplayed in view of these facts - the view fromthe room is non-existent since the hotel is built round a quadrangle sothat all one sees is the other rooms.Slightly inefficient staff. I found the hotel very dark with depressingly grey corridors and my room was the tiniest dim lit room I've ever had the misfortune to stay in. The bathroom was miniscule and I had to sit on the toilet sideways because my knees would bang the wall in front [I'm really not that tall!]. Standard room sizes are just to small. Very small room. tiny room and bathroom, bad cleanliness. the room..too small any special decoration..poor style. The rooms and ensuites were tiny and far too small for two persons. I was situated on the 7th floor and the combined noise of the generators and street made it difficult to sleep. The hotel generally lacked comfort value in terms of communal resting areas and it was difficult to know whether it was meant to be a hotel or a night club. The hotel lighting was generally bad.
