The Hotel was superb as were all its staff. As it was our first time at the Vincci Avalon we were upgraded on arrival to a Deluxe Suite - fantastic! We can only recommend this Hotel for its comfort, friendly staff and excellent location. The hotel staff and facilities including our fantastic rooms were excellent.The location was terrific and we found the whole experience of staying at the Vincci Avalon to be perfect!!.

Did not have a tv in the sitting room to watch tv while another slept.They did not answer our email to confirm the reservation before our arrival. Air conditioning "switched off for the winter" so rooms were far too hot. Didn't get a deluxe room as booked - just a standard one - but still charged for deluxe.30 USD deposit value, there wasn't breakfast. Rooms need sprucing up.house keeping is not so good. No tea or coffee facilities in the room, but was stated in the information given that there was. Not able to purchase a beverage in the restaurant at any time as this was closed so had to go out to a cafe. Breakfast was expensive at $19.95 per person, but if you could eat a great deal, would be great.Asked for a non-smoking Queen bed room and got a smoking room with two doubles. The room smelt like an ashtray, but once you got use to it it was tolerable. If non-smoking room is vital, I suggest you contact the hotel after booking the room. would have liked to be able to make a warm drink at the end of the evening before bedtime. The conference facilities were not ideal. The food that was served forlunch was atrocious and the coffee and tea breaks were in need of morevigilant refreshing. run down, somewhat seedy, peeling laminate floors, cheap bedding. Airconditiondid not work, excuse was from reception: it is a law, not tobe able to have airconditioning in hotels! (Unbelivable!). The TV was not working in the room. Came on for 5 mins then fizzled and no picture. Reported, but was not fixed for entire stay. The room was very noisy and the receptionist on departure was extremely rude when we questioned an over-charge. No tea and coffee making facilities as promised on booking, no duvet for sofa bed. Poor response from staff when above pointed out. The hotel is very expensive for what you get, staff were not interested in trying to make your stay better, fridge was not working, we were told that this facility was no longer available despite paying for and booking a room with a working fridge.Reported A/C too high, TV and safe O/O/O. Technician came to room and turn off A/C but kicked in again, impossible to control. TV and safe was left O/O/O all stay. Hairdryer not working, technician did not have portable hairdryer so he had to replace the one on the wall. All this took 30 minutes... We did not complain because we were coming back late at night and didn't want a technician again.
