What a FAB hotel From the moment we checked in until we departed we were treated like gold. I got this room at an excellent price yet the staff and our concierge went above and beyond their duties with little extras like cupcakes and bubbly for my boyfriends 30 th which we spent in NYC. 6 blocks from Macy's herald sq and just another few blocks to times sq we walked into the craziness after check in so my boyfriend could experience it for himself as it was his first time. all reviews » I cannot say enough about the staff at Eventi. Even after we arrived (pretty cranky) just before 2 am, they were warm, helpful (room service? OF COURSE!), thoughtful (What brought you to NYC? A birthday- well, then, let's send you a gift of champagne!), knowledgeable (great restaurant recommendations, even for foodies!),and attentive. Little things like their daily wine hour (generous, comfortable, paired with cheese, lively- I think EVERYONE in the hotel was there) were done exceptionally we. The best thing about the Eventi in my opinion is the staff, they were all friendly, helpful, & very accommodating of our toddler son. The room and general areas were always clean & well-maintained. Location of the hotel is great. Would recommend for families with young children (we stayed in a Premium suite so we would have the extra living space and a bathtub). The location is amazing! You can walk to all the main sights, to go shopping etc. The dinner recommendations from the staff were great! We asked for a place to eat every night and were so happy with each and every recommendation that we got! The view from the room (we were on the 21st floor) was simply amazing. We had the Empire State Building right in front of us!. The compact extremely well de- signed guest rooms, marble bathroom, lighting, Bigelow bath products, comfortable bed, and warm dark colors with wood I stayed at the hotel because my apt. Was being painted. I'm a New Yorker and don't stay in hotels in the city and was surprised at the price $400 for one night and if I stayed the next night it would have been $600!!!. LOVED this hotel, my fiance and I stayed in a city side view king suite, and it was amazing! The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was clean, and very chic! Loved this hotel! No charge except for tip. Mini fridge in room did not work. There was nothing I was unhappy about. None city wasn't all that great. Make sure u get city view. $13 for WiFi in the room is for me unacceptable. WiFi should be included especially when you pay close to $250/night (without breakfast). I liked it all. Nothing. Nothing at all. The room had only shower, no bathtub. The A/C was loud. That we couldn't stay longer - we'll be back for sure!. Smaller rooms yes New York City! Yes expensive breakfasts. No pool. Nothing. waiter at breakfast extremely rude for no reason,. None. There was a long hallway into the bedroom and the bedroom was small. The barn-type door to the large bathroom was very hard to open and close. nothing. No coffee machine in the room. Getting more expensive. The very freindly and chatty man on recpetion forgot to tell us of the wine package we had included in our reservation - we only found out on the last day about the free afternoon brunch! hence we didnt make any use of it. No hairdryer in the room was odd as the bathrooms were otherwise luxurious and everything else was there. A little pricey but it is a unique hotel. I was just looking for an email a day before my trip or the day of confirming my stay. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was expensive. The pancakes were undercooked which did not improve when sent back. A better view but I did not could have gotten that had I booked a city view room. Shutting down the entire dining room for a party. The party could be held in the bar without harming all the patrons who don't have other alternatives. Room was quite small. Location may be good for shoppers but it is not the nicest or one of the most interesting of neighborhoods. Couldn't find the light switch :-(. the bar could have been a busy hip spot but for some reason was always dead and we were there over a weekend.
