Great staff made us feel welcome and very helpful with all our questions. It was a joy to meet and chat with the staff at this hotel, would stay here again! Very close to French Quarter, cruise terminal everything was within walking distance, safe area to stay at. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean. Great breakfast in the mornings. Close to everything. Thinking that if we plan another trip, we will be staying here again.

The O'Keefe was conveniently Located to all the attractions and also to the Amtrak station which was our primary source of transportation from the city. The hotel was cheaper than the Hilton; breakfasts were good; it was only a 10 to 15 minute from downtown at my convention; security seemed good. For the price it was great, I stayed at a Best Western and the Hyatt Regency and found it as good. And it's location is perfect. There was nothing we did not like, not one complaint. Next time back in New Orleans, we will be staying there again. desk clerk was very nice & great personality. she always acknowleded our presence & joked around with us. Room clean, yet small.. Rate was good compared to the rest of the hotels that were available last minute. Friendly staff, location close to everything. Cleaning lady found my phone and returned it promptly. I liked the loaction, It was fairly central. Came with a refridgerator and a microwave. Small room. Door to bathroom was kinda weird. It only had a shower, no tub combo. only had Queen size bed. no safe-locker at the room. This place has no microwave or refridgerator which they don't tell you until your in the room. pool not indoor or heated-more breakfast selections needed. the air need to takeing caer of that s all. Room was extremely hot when I entered, window was open with sun blaring in and air was off. 4 people in room and only enough towels for 2. Web- site infered parking was free, $25 per/nt unless you park on street. Breakfast should have at least have bacon or pan sausage as an option at breakfast. Would be better if there were 2 waffle irons. The waffle stuck in the waffle iron, so a new one would have been nice. Would have liked yogurt at breakfast. The price of parking I feel is high. I think after the cost of the room the parking should be cheaper. the restroom was way to small but then again it was a good. Not one thing. Staff did not wake me as requested. I could have missed my flight. One receptionist seemed clueless. Others were fine. Sorta lumpy beds and stiff pillows. $25/Night parking. Poor breakfast. We arrive to the hotel before the check in time, and we have a tour at that time, I ask if we can have the room and the person at from dest told me that the check in time are later, and don't give the room to us. I travel a lot and always if the room is clean they give me the room before the check in time. We had to have our iron replaced about 5 times. The sockets in the wall seemed to have low power on one side of the room. The room was small and there wasn't a closet in the room. If you are wanting to spend more time in the french quarte and not walk as much, consider a room closer to the river. We did not have hot water the morning we checked out. Room was not cleaned or bed made up after first night. Front desk staff not really welcoming. The TV in the lobby was on all night until I had to ask them to turn it down, because I could hear it from my 2nd floor room. 2 of 3 ice machines did not work. 2 of 3 washing machines did not work properly. 2 of 3 clothes dryers did not work. So we had to buy soap on 5th floor, wash on the 3rd floor and dry on the 1st floor. Our room had no fridge nor microwave. We were told by the front desk the booking .com rooms were discount cost and also discount accomodations. ( less than other rooms in the hotel which I have stayed in previous years which have fridges and microwaves ). pillows were just a bit hard could not sleep well on them. The rooms were untidy. You'd better bring your own towels from home. We were four people in the room but there were only two shooter towels. After asking many times for more towels during two days, we ended up using hand towels after shower. the staff was very rude when asked about what time breakfast ends. The mattress was horrible both my husband and I was drawn to the middle of the mattress. A/C did not work well and very little hot water. Staff was rude. No customer service at all. loud from the street noise. Toilet wasn't fastened to floor and place really needed updating. Not a "clean" appearance in the room. First stay was ok. This second stay was very disappointing. Maids were lazy, staff wasn't very friendly and I don't mind paying SOMETHING for parking, but we were there three days and it cost us an extra $70 dollars to park in the hotel parking lot! What a rip off! Wife and I will stay elsewhere next time. Plenty of places to choose from. The hidden parking fee, all the other hotels on booking now.com actually identified additional charges for parking. As I am checking in the front desk clerk tells me there is an additional 25.00 fee for parking and the morning I was checking out the lady in front of me was surprised to the charge of the parking fee as well.. That would have made a difference in where I chose to stay that day.. If all the fees were outright and upfront instead of the ( phrase additional fees may apply ). Room smelled horrible. Coffee pot didn't work, took phone calls and finally a trip to the front desk to get more towels and another coffee maker. Outside fence, is misleading. While there, seening someone scale it was not good. Room was still under construction and construction clean up was poor.
