I really liked this hostel, the workers are super friendly, the place has 24-hour security with a buzz-in door, I felt relatively safe, the location is unbelievably great - right opposite the skate park. I met a lot of locals whilst staying here, I would stay here again and it's worth paying more for a private room for a few days stay. I loved the location, soon as you walk out the door you've got the beach, friendly people, Art, performers, food places, bars. The staff are awesome too!! Met so many lovely people from all over the world, learnt alot from staying there. Activities organised for hostelers were great too, like Club Hop, and bar hop etc..
all reviews » The hostel is located just the first line on the beach. The Staff are super helpful and friendly. Very good facilities and equipment. If you have choice, book a bed in 4-room dorm, as it has a separate bathroom (just in the same location) - very convenient. The staff were really cool and super helpful and the hostel is in an amazing location for Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier is also a short walk. You can also get fried Oreos: a must try. So good. It's just at the Venice Beach Boradwalk! Location couldn't be any better. The staff is very helpful. Room was clean but quite airless. Value for money is great though. WiFi is free. I was in a 4 bunk room with a private bathroom, with 2 sisters from Europe, and another woman. My upper bunk was very comfortable. I really appreciated the clean linens. The staff, facility and location are the BEST ever, hated to leave. Thank you STAFF for the hospitality SAMESUN ROKKS!!!. The staff were amazing! Abby, Richie Jai and Sarah are the bomb! I felt like home when I stayed, also extended twice!. staff was nice, they let you hang out while you wait for a shuttle or taxi. the location is absolutely excellent. Be aware of the district where the hostel is located - the Venice Beach is full of drug-users. Marihuana smell is everywhere you go. Many people sleep on the streets. For me it was a very distractive factor, which spouted my stay a bit. It didn't bother me, but this hostel wouldn't be great if you need silence to sleep as music goes on outside quite late on and starts quite early. The parking costs 20 bucks a day. There was a little mildewy odor when I first arrived but we had a space heater that seemed to dry out the smell over the 5 days I was there. the rooms are stuffy, humid, and hot. if it wasn't for a fan, it would be very difficult to sleep. Basicly nothing, but seperate toilets would be nice. Just 2 bathrooms per floor. The LAPD helicopter that flew in circles most of the night with a huge spotlight, obviously looking for someone. I don't know how anyone living there could sleep - guess you get used to it. However, AT NO TIME DID I WORRY FOR MY SAFETY. THIS IS A VERY SAFE HOTEL. at the end of World. Roommates Irregular wifi. Kitchen. The room didn't smell good. Vagrants on the beach. Some rooms a bit small and stuffy. Can't think of anything. For the price, en suite bathrooms would be nice. Need for a passport Caters to travelers only. Cold room. No hot water the first day, then just at trickle of cold water the second day. Price for money is not in the right range. 50 bucks for a 4 people mixed dorm room without breakfast is way too much. No laundry. i moved from a dorm to private room they made me pay twice for my last day as a fault from the reception girl i agreed with her to pay the difference then the night receptionist made me pay again which was unconsiderable and in a rude way. The smell in the room which was not clean. The room I live in is full of bad smell since it lacks airing device or these devices does not work at all. Price is too high for a room without bathroom. Rooms were too hot. Lack of bathrooms. - Smelly room - Loud surroundings - no Car parking - minimal furniture: only a bed. the room was to small for the price and the window backed on to a air conditioning void which had a sky light at the top! so no fresh air!. poor room cleanliness ,furniture are very old type, rooms are too small,room tarrif too high compare to its facilities.
