From the moment I arrived at the Sheraton Universal I was completely happy that I made the right decision. I asked for a room with a view and was allocated a corner room with sweeping 180 degrees views. The comfort of the bed at the Sheraton is of course legendary. Close to Burbank and Hollywood. Over sold and could not stay another night. Pool was not working and we were not told about it when we resevered the room. They do not have my reservation in their record, but manager was able to resolve it quickly. Shower leaked, drain clogged up. Beds were uncomfortable. Very noisy, no good nights sleep. We get there and it is $18.00 to park the car, even if you are staying overnight. I was really disappointed in that, as it was not mentioned in anything I saw on the letsbookhotel.com site. It took us 3 days before we discovered the heat wasn't turned on in our room. Below 60 degrees at night. 2 of 4 of us are now sick. Dirty dishes in hallway for 3 days. Cockroaches near ice machine. aircon was way too loud. No refrigerator what I paid for the room was worth it. The wifi is charged. The room, just so so, comparing with the room rate. noisy hotel due to Fundemental design defect in guest room doors which creates big noise while closing door by guests or room service staff. Rooms near elevators are affected by movement up and down of elevators. I was allocated room 421 for the first night and was not able to sleep a minute following 17 hours flight to LA and 3 hours transit!. Restaurant was bad. Service and food need improvement. There was a weird smell in the lobby. A gross air freshener. Very unpleasant and overpowering. Overcharged for our room and no one except for Jayson helped us. We will never go back to this hotel!.
