We actually decided to extend our stay because we found the place extremely beautiful. The staff was very nice and friendly and helped us out with even a better room then the one we expected. Very prompt! Very clean and quiet, amazing view, equipped with golf course , pools, lakes, fountains, looks like a small community. We are definitely looking forward to returning here. This place was great. We were in the East village and were pleasantly suprised by the tranquil atmosphere. I had read reviews about the odor of Animal Kingdom being next door - we didn't notice a thing. We used all the pools in the facility - and enjoyed them all. We will definately be back and are highly recommending this resort to others.
all reviews » Had two 2 bedroom villas on the West side. They were perfect, right on the golf coarse. Preferred the West side, very quiet. The place was very clean and spacious. Close to the parks, and didnt have to leave the resort if you didnt want to. We rented a cabana, which was great. We have already booked next year. I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, Excellent accommodation! This is the second time I stay in this Resort, and I love it! Villas are houses equipped with a full kitchen and laundry. Very comfortable and clean!. Holiday Inn Vacation Club is amazing!!! It was 11 of us, different age range, and all of us had a luxurious stay with great customer services. I would definitely book many more stays!!. This was a beautiful vacation spot. Close to the theme parks for the grand kids. The resort is an exceptional value for families who like to engage in a variety of activities. The houses,the size of the rooms,the size of the bathrooms,and the perfect kitchen and the nice terrace,as well as the proximity to lots of things,pharmacy,market,Disney World. The guy that checked us in was awesome! He's currently working on an it degree I wish I could remember his name he was great!! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The 3 bedroom villa was comfortable and clean. The patio area was an added bonus. Would certainly recommend to famlies traveling with grandparents or inlaws. I thought all of the park was well thought out and seemed to have everything you could want to make it a good holiday with plenty to do on site. Villa space and amenities. Lots of room for everyone! We had to drive or take transport to get to the facilities. Food at the restuarants was disappointing and became old very quickly. Felt like the food was the same at each restaurant. I recommend: stay in a Villa, not in the apartments of the main building, 'cause they don't have good ventilation, and guests put the garbage outside the doors, in the hallway. Be aware that usually on resorts you don't have housekeeping everyday. I didn't like that the "tour" was actually a timeshare "tour". Please be more specific. The staff at the concierge desk pushing us to go to a tour/meeting in the morning. I called and asked for a later check out explaining the fact we were running a ten mile Disney race that began at 10 at night and we would not get back until 4. I was told 11 would be the latest albeit very rudely. I was not expecting 4 pm, however a little consideration and courtesy would have been welcomed by the person who answered the phone. Number two, the room was musty and felt wet when we got there. The check process was slow and cumbersome. The added step to have somone invite you to take the grand tour and buy a time share should not be part of the check in process. The kids play area was not included in the cost of our stay to go into the water park was expensive would have been a hundred dollars a day. Many "little things" broken in the room: fan too wobbly, dishwasher leaking, bad can opener, pantry door would not open, etc. Our room could also have used a bit of renovating. We had a bad smell outside our room. No maid service in three days. I didn't like the pushy feeling I got for you set up a appointment for a tour and then the charge if you don't make it and then you cant reschedule it unless you are checked into the hotel. I was charged more than expected, and also the ticketing booth charged us tickets to Disney more expensive than the park does at the gate. beds need improving,only stayed 1 night on our way home from vacation. If I read right about transportation to parks, that would be a deal killer. there should be no charge for transportation. Other places that cost less don't charge, you guys can do the same. I didn't like that I had requested a crib and highchair in advance but when we arrived and didn't have one we were told they were out and it was a first come first serve option and we that we should have mentioned at checkin even though I requested them the week before we came. Also the timeshare tour they try to talk you into is a lot of lies, they are very pushy too!. I would have liked to have had transportation to the theme parks from the resort. Cash less resort. Family travelling on a budget, brought cash to spend at the many activities offered however had to go off the resort to spend it. Credit card only..will be prepaired for next year. Pool closes early. No house keeping and no breakfast included in normal rates. the staff was not very helpful and sometimes rude. Cost for activites on top of room charge, would rather pay higher room charge that included activities on site. Very unfriendly checkin hostess...was surely having a bad day...seem like she didn't want to be there. Everything else! Every staff person we spoke with was rude and unfriendly. Signage was poor. Impossible to find amenities which were very "hidden" from view. Were greedy for our money at every turn but very lacking in customer service. on the lazy river you had to pay for the tubes. Nothing. Just 4 towels for 5 people. None. We have to wait a lot of time for the check in, the staff in front desk talking, talking, talking , more than 30 minutes for check in , its too much. To busy of a place.... Doesn't except cash.... We could not eat at the restaurants because every time we were in ANY of them, there were flies everywhere. We would order drinks by the pool, but would not eat there. The staff at the front desk were very rude and not very informative at all. She asked me the same question 3 times and I gave her the same answer. Upon check-in they start hitting you up for a "meeting" to view the grounds and to be able to get "discounts" you have to do a tour!! Not my idea of fun!! Also had someone from the Holiday Inn staff call us at least twice a day and leave a message--annoying! My husband and I both work 50 hours a week and wanted a vacation not to be sold something or have someone convince us we should get a timeshare. No thank you and we will not be back. Staff called early morning more than once asking if we were interested about the timeshare. The toilets kept clogging up. You have to pay extra for the amenities No daily room service like other resorts, what's the point of the resort fee? Not like other holiday inn, this is unpleasantly not a resort. The beds are NOT at all comfortable. Neither of us could sleep well when was a damper on the whole trip. Towels was not cleans u found hair on the bed and carpet was not clean east village was long ride. As soon as we checked in you could smell the horrible smell. It was coming from the dishwasher. There was a puddle of water sitting in it. So here I am on my vacation hand washing dishes. There was an additional resort charge due at check in. There was room cleaning service. Everything at the hotel was an extra fee. Pools floats, mini golf etc. Parking for the hotel was dismal. Just a money pit! They attack you with a sale pitch when you check in! Everything on the resort cost money not worth the money of your gonna leave the resort at all. HIGH PRICES! ON EVERYTHING!. I did not like that it was sold to us when it is a time share that does not offer hotel service. The place was very dirty and the smell was awful.
