  I was quite concerned after reading the mixed reviews, however there was an event that took 8500 rooms in Philly with many hotels sold out and choices were extremely limited. Microtel is a great choice if you just want a clean bed and bathroom and easy train access into Philly.   The staff was very friendly and very helpful especially after the first suttle didn't arrive and I had to call for a second one. The shuttle driver refused a tip because they were late in picking me up, he also put together a small lunch sack for me so I would have something to eat. My arrival time was during the change of shift at 11 pm so there was a slight mixup but I was very well taken care off up arrival a - I like the breakfast. Lemon could have been provided for the tea drinkers. Tea selection was good, my favorite was there, green tea with pomegranite ? .The ladies who worked the breakfast room were excellent, accommodating special requests if possible. Darryl, at the front desk, was excellent and helpful in many ways.
